Safety Supervisor

Ajilon is looking for an experienced Safety Supervisor. This is a Direct Hire opportunity within the city of Los Angeles.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect all facilities to identify safety, health, and environmental risks
  • Conduct post-accident investigations and prepare reports identifying possible accident causes and hazards
  • Review safety policies and procedures to assure the company continues to meet required federal, state, and local standards and regulations
  • Strong understanding of OSHA, EPA, and other environment, health, and safety standards

· Must be a motivated and passionate professional that is comfortable in a hand on impactful and highly visible role

· Provide assistance and guidance to management in preparation of safety audits

· Communicate with regulatory agencies to comply with environment, health, and safety regulations

Qualifications

  • Bilingual Spanish
  • OSHA 501 certification
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

· Ability to lead training conferences

· Open to learning new concepts and new ideas

· Impeccable verbal and written communication

Pay Rate: $28.00 – $33.00 depending on experience

Schedule: Mon – Fri 8AM – 5PM

Job Requirements:

  • Oversee the site safety program
  • Verify compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Manage the jobsite safety program and be responsible for monitoring site safety compliance, safety inspections and ensuring compliance with worksite safety standards
  • Maintain company safety and health programs
  • Hold safety training meetings for all employees
  • Deliver effective safety training programs
  • Develop safety training bulletins and safety-related promotional activities
  • Maintain safety compliance, inspections, and audits
  • Comply with all safety policies
  • Perform regular safety and environmental inspections and audits
  • Participate in on-site safety committee
  • Implement health and safety processes
  • Communicate safety and health hazards
  • Make health and safety recommendations
  • Attended all onsite safety meetings
  • Conduct safety and environmental training programs
  • Perform and assist in managing plant initiatives to improve safety including safety and environmental audits, behavior based safety program, safety committee program, safety training, incident investigation
  • Implement safety programs and policies
  • Observe all health and safety rules
  • Develop and conduct safety and environmental training programs
