Marketing Manager I

The Sol Price School of Public Policy has an immediate opening for a full-time Marketing Manager I .

The Marketing Manager will work closely with prospective graduate online students throughout the recruitment and admission process by recruiting, processing and reviewing applications and working closely with the appropriate Price School degree program administrator to ensure enrollment.

The incumbent initially will work with prospective students to the Master of Public Administration-Online and Executive Master of Urban Planning-Online programs.

The ideal candidate must demonstrate the ability to work independently and as a member of a team, have strong presentation and organizational skills, and attention to detail, and an understanding of needs of early and mid-career graduate students, and the unique features of an online education from a major private research university.

Position summary:

Working under the direction of the Price School Director of Recruitment and Admission and working closely with the Price School Office of Online Education and Digital Media and the Price School’s online vendor, the Marketing Manager will identify and provide timely follow up on all leads. 

Develop a series of drip campaigns to ensure the those who respond to one of our digital marketing initiatives stay engaged.

In collaboration with the Price Office of Online Education and Digital Media, the incumbent will provide input regarding content and design of the campaigns.

Working closely with the academic program leadership, promotes the programs to the respective degree program professional communities.

This may include advertising, virtual or in-person information sessions, social media, etc.

Host a series of Webinars to encourage applications and facilitate first-time enrollment.

This includes invitation design and dissemination, working with the academic program leadership to ensure the program PowerPoint is well designed and up-to-date with current information, and follow up with prospective students after the Webinar.

When appropriate, these Webinars will include the academic program leadership, current students, and/or alumni. 

Initiate periodic contact and counsel applicants on admission policies and procedures.

Evaluate and offers solutions to applicant problems and requests regarding admission. 

Works closely with the department chairs in making timely admission decisions for graduate programs in accordance with USC and Price School admission policy.

Communicate in person, by telephone and in writing with domestic and international applicants about status of admission applications.

Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

Preferred knowledge and skills:

Experience working with early and mid-career graduate students

A background in online graduate program marketing, recruitment and admission

Strong PowerPoint and design skills

Experience using Salesforce platform

Experience using e-mail automation in Pardot

An understanding of the fields of public administration and/or urban planning
