About the Job
We are seeking a technical project manager (TangoCode title: Solutions Owner) to head client facing projects with budgets up to $500k. Agile best practices knowledge and experience are essential in leading a scrum team of 5-7 professionals (Software Engineers, UX/UI, and QA).
Attributes contributing to success in this position include: a tech background, complete lifecycle management experience, sprint team leadership, and a background heading high scale web or mobile projects requiring excellent level communication skills.
Responsibilities Include
- Facilitating daily stand-up, iteration planning/introspection, and sprint reviews
- Guiding team in estimating practices and defining, creating, and managing scheduling
- Leads the team effort in defining, improving, and implementing stories, key to product quality
- Drive team iteration execution and protects the team from uncontrolled injection of work
- Works with client to create/analyze business requirements, documents, and project timelines
- Manages release plans that protect client business value and success metrics defined with client
- Continually assess/evaluates the project from the client perspective and managing course adjustments
- Proactively identify and eliminate project impediments, challenges, and conflicts to maintain flow
- Ensure frequent feedback cycles through close collaboration with the client
- Participate in internal training, communication, planning and update meetings
- Maintain team data in PMS (JIRA, Confluence, etc.)
- Present high level KPIs for internal senior management
- Overall project success
Must Have Skills, Abilities, and Experience
- Software development project management (3-5 years).
- Sprints leadership (3+ years)
- Previous positions held as: Technical Project Mgr or Technical Product Mgr or Technical Program Mgr
- Demonstrable expertise of Agile methodology and frameworks such as Scrum or Kanban
- Deep understanding of Agile metrics to analyze and improve sprint planning
- SDLC and Agile procedural understanding to predict the needs of the development team
- Solid experience working with Architecture teams to assess and size story/epics
- Ability to understand and represent both the business and technology
- Experience with business requirements elicitation, user story writing, and acceptance criteria
- Understanding of UX design and a passion for delivering projects to client’s satisfaction
- Consulting services &/or external partner/client management experience
- Leadership Essentials: Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and motivational skills
- US or Canada based
