About the Job

We are seeking a technical project manager (TangoCode title: Solutions Owner) to head client facing projects with budgets up to $500k. Agile best practices knowledge and experience are essential in leading a scrum team of 5-7 professionals (Software Engineers, UX/UI, and QA). 

Attributes contributing to success in this position include: a tech background, complete lifecycle management experience, sprint team leadership, and a background heading high scale web or mobile projects requiring excellent level communication skills. 

Responsibilities Include

  • Facilitating daily stand-up, iteration planning/introspection, and sprint reviews
  • Guiding team in estimating practices and defining, creating, and managing scheduling
  • Leads the team effort in defining, improving, and implementing stories, key to product quality
  • Drive team iteration execution and protects the team from uncontrolled injection of work
  • Works with client to create/analyze business requirements, documents, and project timelines
  • Manages release plans that protect client business value and success metrics defined with client 
  • Continually assess/evaluates the project from the client perspective and managing course adjustments
  • Proactively identify and eliminate project impediments, challenges, and conflicts to maintain flow
  • Ensure frequent feedback cycles through close collaboration with the client
  • Participate in internal training, communication, planning and update meetings
  • Maintain team data in PMS (JIRA, Confluence, etc.) 
  • Present high level KPIs for internal senior management
  • Overall project success

Must Have Skills, Abilities, and Experience

  • Software development project management (3-5 years). 
  • Sprints leadership (3+ years)
  • Previous positions held as: Technical Project Mgr or Technical Product Mgr or Technical Program Mgr
  • Demonstrable expertise of Agile methodology and frameworks such as Scrum or Kanban
  • Deep understanding of Agile metrics to analyze and improve sprint planning
  • SDLC and Agile procedural understanding to predict the needs of the development team
  • Solid experience working with Architecture teams to assess and size story/epics
  • Ability to understand and represent both the business and technology
  • Experience with business requirements elicitation, user story writing, and acceptance criteria
  • Understanding of UX design and a passion for delivering projects to client’s satisfaction
  • Consulting services &/or external partner/client management experience
  • Leadership Essentials: Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and motivational skills
  • US or Canada based

Compensation and Benefits

  • $100K – $120K yearly
