About the Role

As the Product Manager/Senior Product Manager Security Services you are responsible for managing the assigned security service’s lifecycle planning, execution, customer experience and financial metrics. This position serves as both a business and technical product expert, driving results by leading cross-functional teams towards service, experience and financial objectives. You will drive Windstream’s strategy and product development combining Security as a Service components with SD WAN and lead us into the Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) space.

What You’ll Do

  • Plan and direct all aspects of product management including market assessment, business case development, marketing requirements and product requirement documentation, go to market planning and execution, and ongoing support for your services.
  • Partner with other product managers to ensure alignment and integration of security services with the entire service portfolio
  • Analyze and understand buying behaviors and underlying needs of the enterprise related to security and compliance and define and execute go to market motions to capture market share
  • Be a trusted partner with engineering, architecture, security operations, and development teams to deliver and support security services
  • Drive differentiation into the service offerings through innovative software development and digital experience
  • Assess commercially available technologies and services for integration into Windstream’s service portfolio
  • Engage with external partners and vendors to deliver and support services where applicable
  • Partner with marketing on go-to-market and marketing plans to drive service and digital adoption
  • Own a phased product delivery roadmap, from initial proofs of concept through to general availability, incorporating learnings from each stage into the next
  • Partner with our Digital Experience team to create a product experience that is simple to deploy and easy to manage
  • Other duties as assigned

Do You Have?

  • 5 years prior product management experience in a technology or security service company or 3 years in a security product management role; a combination of education and experience is acceptable
  • Knowledge of security principles and one or more security capabilities such as Premises, Cloud and Virtual Firewall, Antivirus, Web Filtering, Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA), Remote Access, SIEM and DDoS Mitigation
  • Security certification (e.g. CISSP) or equivalent experience a plus
  • Able to lead cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment and have excellent teamwork skills
  • Attention to detail with advanced organizational and prioritization skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, business, marketing or related discipline. MBA or similar advanced degree a plus.

College degree in a Technical or related field and 8 years professional level experience with 3-4 years supervisory experience for roles with supervision; or 12 years professional level related Technical experience with 3-4 years supervisory experience for roles with supervision; or an equivalent combination of education and professional level related Technical experience required.
