Job Description

This is a unique opportunity to build a successful Gynecology sales organization for the newly forming Gynecology business Unit within Olympus Corporation of Americas. We are seeking a dynamic Sales leader who can build train motivate and develop a team of Sales Representatives within the space of therapeutic and diagnostic devices for the operating room and Gynecology as well as help to formulate and implement the strategic business plan for the business. As a Regional Vice President you will be expected to meet and exceed sales and profit targets across all business segments through the continuous development motivation training and management of sales team within assigned geographic region. The successful candidate will accelerate profitable growth by leveraging the combined strengths of all surgical businesses to deliver superior customer value.

Job Duties

* Build a successful sales team through strong recruitment hiring training development motivation and management.

* Collaboratively help develop and implement a sales training program for newly hired sales team.

* Work with Business Unit leader to finalize strategic and commercial business plan.

* Support the development and successful execution of annual territory business plans to meet and exceed region s numeric objectives.

* Manage and positively influence each sales representative s daily activities monthly sales forecasts business plan updates etc.

* Effectively manage regional expense budget to include participation in local trade shows events.

* Travel telephone repairs promotion and sample expenditures. Ensure all Company assets are carefully managed and maintained.

* Personally manage and cultivate strategic account and clinical relationships within region as well as support and monitor key relationships involving sales representatives and other Company personnel.

* Build and maintain a comprehensive needs assessment and business plan for each strategic account in order to deliver superior value to the customer and accelerated profitable growth for the Company.

* Develop and maintain a strong working knowledge of strategically important Olympus product lines to successfully execute essential duties and responsibilities.

* Communicate competitive activities and market opportunities to appropriate internal parties.

* Perform other related tasks such as representation at national and regional events support of corporate initiatives etc as requested or assigned.

* Perform all other essential duties as directed.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

* Bachelor’s Degree is required.

* Minimum of 5 years of successful OR medical device sales and or sales management experience preferably in Therapeutic and diagnostic Gynecology.

* Minimum of 2 years sales management experience; experience leading a Gynecology Sales team strongly preferred.

* Ability to travel 70% of time.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

* Master’s Degree a plus.

* Superior Business Acumen defined as possessing the understanding of key business drivers for performance and use of sound business applications particularly in the Gynecology industry.

* Comprehensive understanding of what business drivers promote growth profitability and cash flow.

* The ability to understand and incorporate Olympus financial statements performance measures and key metrics to positively impact the company’s  revenues and profits.

* Ability to negotiate with diverse customers segments focusing on positively moving forward opportunities that are jammed by usage of creative solutions. 

* Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to develop relationships from C Suite to Clinical Leadership Management.

* Ability to gather feedback in terms of what is and is not working with desire to share best practices.

* Works collaboratively with others to reduce organizational silos.

* An ethical self starter who is inheritably professional possesses unquestionable integrity and displays exceptional listening skills with high level competency for verbal written communications.
