Regional Manager – Migrant Services

The Regional Manager reports to the Program Manager and will conduct oversight and coordination to ensure holistic, culturally competent services for migrants, refugees, and their families. The Regional Manager will ensure the effectiveness and quality of services through supportive program management, data management, trend analysis, training, and technical assistance. This position will have both internal and external facing responsibilities ranging from direct supervision of all Site Supervisors in their charge, data tracking and evaluation, program policies and guideline development, and training as well as strategic program planning. They will also liase with external partners to disseminate best practices and social service needs of migrants and refugees on the non-detained docket.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Active role in planning, designing, implementation, supervision, expansion/development and administration of overall regional operation in collaboration with the senior leadership team, in addition to program development and reporting responsibilities.
  • Conduct frequent visits to the regional program sites to support the teams, and ensure that the field offices maintain compliance with regulations.
  • Supervise and provide guidance to all Site Supervisors located in their respective region.
  • Ensure effective regional staff intake, orientation, and training.
  • Ensure that Site Supervisors set clear, results-oriented goals for their work; these should include objectives, strategies, work plans, and financial projections to accomplish goals; conduct annual performance reviews based on these objectives.
  • Ensure that each program location has an up-to-date security plan and manage all security issues, including emergency situations as they arise.
  • Create guidelines and lead Social Services team on self-care, wellness, prevention of vicarious trauma and burn out, as well as appropriate professionalism in client relations.
  • Monitor and evaluate case activities, including client referrals, intakes, case strategy, and case closure through case rounds and regular check-ins.
  • Consult and work with legal staff to integrate holistic, trauma-informed, and client-centered services that consider both legal strategy and service needs.
  • Evaluate and provide expert consultation to the Site Supervisors on services referral, needs assessments, advocacy strategy, safety planning, and crisis management.
  • Supervise all regional activity by providing direction, input, feedback, and resolving complex problems.
  • Represent the organization in meetings with government agencies, partner organizations, and professional legal forums in order to develop collaborations that enhance the effectiveness of the program.
  • Keep senior management informed with detailed and accurate reports or presentations.
  • Monitor and guide program productivity expectations on a regular and sustained basis.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

EDUCATION: Possession of a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Non-Profit Management, Philanthropy or related field (Master’s degree preferred).

Minimum: 4 – 6 years of experience relevant to the position – working in providing mental health services to vulnerable or migrant populations.

TRAVEL: Valid driver’s license, access to a vehicle, insurance, and willingness to drive to off-site locations, highly preferred. Able and willing to travel locally and nationally up to 50% of time.

WORK LOCATION: Hybrid – the Regional Manager must be able to both work from home in a virtual capacity and/or transition to an on-site location as determined by regional capacity for appropriate public health response.

OTHER: Fluent or advanced proficiency in a second language is preferred. Eligible to receive, pass, and maintain e-QIP background check – initiated by the National Background Investigations Bureau. Must be a U.S. citizen or a Lawful Permanent Resident.

COMPUTER: Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office products and Google tools.

DECISION MAKING: Ability to think analytically and evaluate the impact of decisions. Requires high level of concentration, focus and use of memory. Ability to set work priorities and to evaluate and create solutions to work related problems.

MANAGEMENT: Knowledge of business and management practices involved in strategic planning, budgeting, resource allocation and leadership. Works with a bias towards action. Ability to evaluate effectiveness of initiatives. Must be highly organized, detail oriented, and reliable.

NEGOTIATION: Ability to persuade and influence regulatory representatives to reach optimum audit and/or investigation results. Ability to present the organization in a professional manner in all negotiations.

ORGANIZATION: Ability to keep various on-going projects organized and files maintained accurately. Above normal levels of concentration and memory required. Requires good time management practices and the ability to meet multiple deadlines.

PLANNING: Ability to think long term; up to one year in advance. Knowledge of project management processes and best practices.

TECHNICAL: Ability to develop and comprehend numerical and statistical data analysis. Expertise in process mapping.
