Region Director, West – Spindrift Spiked

In March 2021, Spindrift announced it’s launching a delicious, cleaner take on hard seltzer this summer – Spindrift Spiked Sparkling Water. Come join the team and play a critical role as we launch our newest product across the US. The Region Director should be based in Southern California, and willing and able to travel up to 80% of the time throughout the Western US. Responsibilities for the role include

  • Launch & manage Spindrift Spiked in the West
    • Lead top to top quarterly meetings at each distributor
    • Oversee sales meetings to generate excitement and educate distributor sales reps and managers
    • Perform monthly business reviews with each distributor’s management team
    • Develop and execute a plan to identify and land key accounts to drive our business
    • Determine and execute against our distribution goals
    • Achieve our volume goals
    • Develop and manage annual budget
    • Oversee a team to organize effective crew drives
    • Create impactful distributor incentive programs to align with company culture and stay within budget
    • Create and establish retail standards
  • Build the sales team dedicated to Spindrift Spiked
    • Recruit, interview and hire a team of Managers and Area Sales Representatives dedicated to Spindrift Spiked
    • Spend the bulk of the time in the trade with the team
    • Build a strong bench of talent for future promotions
    • Develop KPI’s and make sure that all team members in your region are achieving their goals
  • Embrace the Spindrift Company culture
    • Lead and contribute to a culture that is consistent with the overall organization and emphasizes the values of the Company
    • Partner with teammates and co-workers on various strategic initiatives throughout the year
    • Embody a “Carry the bag” mentality – willingness to do whatever it takes any time and as much as necessary to grow

Requirements

Experience and skills

  • 10+ years of experience in the beer industry
  • Experience managing distributors with demonstrated success
  • Proven sales success track record
  • Proven development & management of a high performing sales team
  • Excellent verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Outstanding organizational skills
  • Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook

Working Conditions

  • Must be able to lift a case of product (20lbs) regularly with the ability and desire to physically assemble large displays, which can often be more than 100 cases in size
  • Must be able to travel up to 80% of the time
