Services focus on HEALTH, HOUSING, AND COMMUNITY SERVICES, offering a continuum of support to move households from crisis to long-term health and stability.A New Leaf continues to grow to respond to needs in our community by developing comprehensive, relevant and effective services for vulnerable and underserved families, children, and adults.A New Leaf’s Tenant Based Rental Assistance (TBRA) program is a rental assistance program for those who currently are, or at-risk of, homelessness.This program offers assistance that includes: rental subsidy, utility and security deposits, as well as utility allowance.Rental assistance can be provided for up to 24 months, helping a household to achieve financial stability and avoid further challenges in regard to housing.

Assistance is intended to be a temporary solution that allows a tenant to build savings and better manage their personal finances.Pay: $18.50 Schedule: Monday
– Friday 8am-4pm Flexibility needed Location: Apache Junction, AZPrimary Responsibilities: Work with partners to identify appropriate referrals and assist participants with obtaining required eligibility documentation.

Ability to comply with Fair Housing Laws and Housing First Model.

Work in collaboration with HOM Inc to assist participants by obtaining their housing voucher and obtaining appropriate permanent housing, and building and maintaining relationships with local rental property owners and apartment complexes.

Provide individualized support by helping each participant implement a Housing Stability Plan that addresses their barriers, increase their income, and maintains and sustains permanent housing.

Provide advocacy and connection to Mental Health/Substance Abuse services and other supportive services as needed.

Conduct assessments and monthly home visits with participants and regular check-ins with landlords and property managers.

Use of personal vehicle to conduct home visits with the program participants.

Provides case management services, including but not limited to connecting participants with identification and other needed documents; assisting with obtaining food and furnishings; helping participants with credit repair and budgeting and utility information.

Encourage and promote an environment that is strength-based and culturally competent.

If needed, assist in connecting participants with shelter or other housing services in the community.

Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED required Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in a related field preferred Experience working with various homeless populations including families, individuals, young adults and/or homeless veterans.
