Why We Need You:
The QA/C Supervisor will oversee the daily operation of the Quality Assurance/Quality Control Department at Dr.
Squatch Soap Manufacturing.
This person will be responsible for all aspects of finished goods and packaging component inspection and release.
They will ensure that production of finished goods are in compliance with all company SOPs and regulating agencies guidelines.
QA/C Supervisor will also supervise and direct the Quality Assurance and Control Inspector, evaluate staff performance and indicate corrective action as required.
Additional duties as specified by Head of Quality.
This role will report to the Quality Manager.
This is a full-time role with company benefits based in Dr.
Squatch Manufacturing Plant (aka Bricc House) located in Rancho Dominguez, CA
Problems You’ll Solve:
●Train and support Quality Control Technicians
●Review and maintain product/goods specifications
●Exercise and monitor GMP compliance in work environment
●Work closely with the Production team to define and establish operational parameters
●Ensure timely and accurate completion of non-conformance investigations, including out of specification investigations
●Manage a continuous improvement program within department
●Understand and exercise all safety requirements and procedures
●Develop and perform inspector/auditor training programs
●Establish and maintain SOP criteria for inspection/testing
●Organize and manage meetings as appropriate
●Set department goals
●Support all company policies
What We’re Looking For:
●Must be able to work effectively and efficiently with all departments as a team
●Self-motivated individual with strong positive capacity to motivate employees and other departments
●Leadership abilities with capacity to teach others
●Knowledge of product manufacture and testing
●Flexible; able to move from one type of task to another without loss of speed or efficiency
●Must be detail oriented with strong clerical and time management skills
●Excellent written and verbal communication skills
●Superior problem solving, decision making and organization skills
●3 or more years experience working in cosmetics or chemical manufacturing is preferred
●2 or more years experience with inspection and quality control
●3 or more years experience in a supervisory/managerial role
●3 or more years GMP experience is required
●Minimum Associate’s Degree in related field
●Proficient with Microsoft Office programs or similar programs (Google Office suites)
●Excellent communication skills
●Interest in health and wellness, personal care and eCommerce
●Experience working in consumer products industry highly preferred
●Someone who gets things done without perfect resources, is innovative and works with a sense of urgency
●Someone who has high standards, takes ownership and is invested in the outcome
●Someone who proactively help others, stays positive and has a good sense of humor
