Proposal Manager

Essential Functions:Leads the creation of stand-alone proposals (including large-scale IDIQ proposals), task order proposals, RFIs/SSNs, and other responses ranging from $5M-$150M in valueEnsures adherence to proposal development preparation guidelines, processes, methodologies, and associated business toolsBuilds proposal outlines and compliance matrices and schedules and oversees creation of proposal templatesAnalyzes complex requirements and ensures that proposals meet all requirementsDevelops writing assignments and tracks progress to ensure the timely completion of proposal inputs Coordinates proposal layout and outlines with SMEs and technical writersResearches and develops proposal content, working closely with SMEs.

Adheres to set standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style, and terminologyEdits, standardizes, proofreads, and rewrites material prepared by other writers; eliminates inconsistencies in format or voice, typos, and grammatical and spelling mistakesEngages with Capture Manager to craft proposal strategy and develop compelling messaging that addresses the strengths of the AEVEX Aerospace offering Ensures the win strategy (win themes, discriminators, etc.) is articulated throughout the proposal.

Ensures solutions are properly described and depicted.Develops effective methods for presenting and organizing information within proposals, such as the use of tables and graphicsMaintains records and files of work and revisionsManages the production, reproduction, and binding/packaging of draft proposals, final proposals, and all hard/soft copiesEnsures proposals are delivered on time and in compliance with all RFP requirements.Performs other duties as assigned or requiredQualifications:Bachelor’s degree in a technical, management, or business discipline with a minimum of 10 years of relevant proposal experience that includes proposal management and proposal writing A minimum of 6 years of proposal management experience with DoD proposalsAbility to obtain/maintain a Secret DoD Clearance Winning track record as the proposal manager for DoD clientsSuperior MS Office skills required, knowledge of other editing and publishing tools highly desiredHighly skilled in planning and tracking multiple simultaneous tasks in a high-pressure environmentDemonstrated experience leading and collaborating with diverse teams to solve complex challenges0-10% travel as needed to support proposal projects Ability to utilize a disciplined approach while working independentlyMust produce high quality and precise results Must be open to collaboration and close scrutiny to ensure team successNice to have:Experience can substitute educationCapture management experience a plusExperience working on aerospace and/or intelligence proposalsProgrammatic experience to include WBS, BOE, IMS artifactsActive Secret Clearance or higherAPMP certification or active enrollment Experience with FEDSIM proposalsExperience with video and/or oral proposals Work Arrangement: Hybrid or 100% RemoteAEVEX provides a full suite of comprehensive benefits, including a 401(k)-retirement plan, comprehensive Medical, Dental, Vision, Disability and Life insurance group coverage with a portion of the premiums paid by the company, professional development funds, and an Employee Assistance Plan (EAP) with counseling, legal help, child and elder care support, among other benefits.
