POSITION SUMMARY Acts as the primary leader on the Contract. Responsible for the day-to-day management of operations on the contract, ensuring all regulatory requirements are met, achieving all contract requirements in the timelines dictated by the contract and ensuring the contract is phased in and executed within the budget set in the proposal documents. Responsible for the P/L of the program and will be accountable for financial performance. Sets all policies and directives to ensure good order and discipline of contract employees. Ensures staffing is managed to adequately achieve the contract objectives. Staffs the contract with certified and qualified employees that meet the contract requirements. RESPONSIBILITIES * Staff the contract with certified and qualified employees that meet the contract requirements * Identify processes and procedures to facilitate the efficient execution of work that achieves the highest margins on target and non-target work * Set policies to ensure good order and discipline on the contract * Manage workforce to complete all contract requirements * Serve as the main customer point of contact on all contract issues * Other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS * High School diploma or equivalent required * Bachelor’s Degree preferred * Valid Professional Licenses in related field * 5 years in the last 10 years providing fleet management services to a fleet of 1000 or more vehicles * Effective oral and written communication skills with all levels of the organization. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously * Must have 5 years’ of demonstrated Project Management experience with sole P/L responsibility managing fleet contracts of 1000 vehicles or larger * Must have 10-15 years of progressive operational experience on fleet programs demonstrating progressive leadership experience culminating in at least 5 years at the Project Management level conducting vehicle management and repair services As required by the County Code Title 2 – Administration, Division 4 – Miscellaneous – Chapter 2.212 (COVID-19 Vaccinations of County Contractor Personnel) adopted by the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors, applicants will need to show proof of full vaccination status, defined as vaccinated two weeks after receiving the requisite number of doses of a COVID-19 vaccine approved or authorized for emergency use by the FDA or that they are exempt from vaccine requirements based on sincerely held religious beliefs or a qualifying medical condition. Business work hours are Monday-Friday from 7:00 am to 2:00 pm, however some extended and/or weekend hours may be required. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS May be required to lift and carry awkward items weighing up to 25 lbs. Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting, squatting, stretching and bending throughout the workday.
