Custom door & window fabrication firm is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join the team.
The ideal candidate has hands-on, multi-faceted experience in metal fabrication operations and small to medium scale residential & commercial construction.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and negotiate client contracts with an understanding of risk
Schedule individual projects and all projects on a master schedule
Maintain project budgets from estimating, to contract, to the field and ensuring changes are managed, both in cost and schedule.
Planning and organizing construction activities and staff on multiple projects
Performance tracking (schedule, budget, risk, quality, etc.)
Administer contracts with 3rd party contractors and subcontractors
Brief management during weekly construction meetings
Qualifications:
10 years of experience
Experience in Commercial projects
Experience in steel fabrication a plus
Experience in the Los Angeles and Westside areas
Strong project management skills
– PMI accreditation a plus
Self-directed with the ability to communicate effectively is a must
Ability to read and interpret drawings
Strong computer skills with proficiency in scheduling software, Microsoft word and excel, email, and ability to pick up software quickly
Team player able to work with all staff effectively
