Position Summary:
The Project Manager, Comedy Touring is responsible for working with the Comedy VP to build tours by researching artist information and providing accurate comparison analysis to develop accurate and profitable artist offers while staying aware of trends and artists that may lead to future tour projects.
Essential Functions:

– Comedy Touring is responsible for working with the Comedy VP to build tours by researching artist information and providing accurate comparison analysis to develop accurate and profitable artist offers, build and budget the tour(s), meeting with agents, managers or clients directly to present and negotiate offers for club and theater size shows.
Submit all collected information into internal booking system for review, analysis, and approval by Comedy VP and Executives.
Develop and establish tour routing by working closely with the venues to check availability and set up and conceptualize the tour.
Ensure that routing is realistic and efficient.
Work with the VP Comedy to designate price points for ticketing and seating arrangements.
Stay on top of comedy industry trends through research of social media, periodicals, tour history and product release to remain competitive in the market and attract new partnerships and deals.
Strategize marketing and publicity efforts.
Ensure that the marketing team has appropriate artist asset and accurate tour information required to efficiently and effectively market the tour.
Update marketing team to any changes/updates in tour schedule, pricing, and routing.
Communicate and coordinate with ticketing and legal departments.
Provide assistance and guidance to tour accounts as needed.
May also be involved in marketing meetings to brainstorm and produce creative ideas or ways to increase ticket sales and discuss potential new projects.
Other duties as they arise including but not limited to basic administrative tasks, responding to inquiries, covering shows, act as liaison between venue, artist and AEG Presents.
Required Qualifications:
A minimum education level of: High School Diploma or its equivalency (Bachelor of Arts/Sciences Degree Preferred in Accounting/Finance, Legal, Logistics, or a related area).
2 years of related work experience.
Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) & Adobe Acrobat.
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
Detail orientated individual with commitment to advancing in the comedy touring industry.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with an ability to take direction and work as a team towards the execution of a large scale touring event.
Knowledge of accounting principles and previous experience in building financial models.
Able to work a flexible schedule which may include nights, weekends and holidays as tour permits.
Positive attitude with an ability to take initiative skills.
Knowledgeable about the comedy industry.
