Job Title: Project Coordinator

We are seeking an experienced Project Coordinator to join our team in this hourly position, which pays $32 – $40 per hour based on experience.
Job Summary: Our team is currently seeking an experienced Project Coordinator to join us. As a Project Coordinator, your main responsibilities will include overseeing the planning, implementation, and tracking of specific projects that are assigned to you. The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication skills, be highly organized, and be capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously. It is imperative that you have prior experience expediting construction documents for commercial restaurant and bar projects to regulatory agencies such as the Health Department and Building Department.
Responsibilities:
- Manage project plans, timelines, deadlines, and deliverables
- Communicate project progress and updates to stakeholders and team members
- Communicating the client’s equipment choices and agency requirements to drafters and engineers
- Identify and manage project risks and issues
- Quickly and professionally respond to requests from clients, designers, architects, and plan checkers
- Research required code compliance
- Address plan check comments and prepare response letters and narratives for resubmittal to plan check
- Establish and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders
- Organize and facilitate project meetings
- Attend site visits with client teams
- Represent the company and its clients at Plan Check meetings with Building and Health Department officials
- Monitor project performance and take corrective action when necessary
- Ensure project documentation is accurate and up-to-date
- Provide regular reports to management on project status and performance
- Track project hours and record notes daily using a project management software
- In-office preparation of documents and internal team coordination
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, management, or a related field
- 1+ years of experience in project coordination
- Superior communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to Read & Understand Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing plans
- Strong leadership skills and ability to manage a team
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in project management software and tools
- PMP certification is a plus
- Ability to drive to and from various offices at various distances
- Ability to walk job sites, take measurements, climb ladders, walk on building roofs
- Finger and wrist dexterity for repetitive motions related to a computer keyboard and mouse use and preparing plans for plan check (stapling, rolling out, binding)
- Reliable transportation to get to job sites (even when public transit is not an option)
- Adequate home internet
- Applicants must live in the Los Angeles area
- 3 full days in office required per week
