CalabasasCAJob DescriptionThe Harbor Freight Tools Store Operations Team is a team of business operators responsible for working cross-functionally across all business functions to support and plan daily store operations as well as support bringing new initiatives and process improvements to life across 1250+ retail stores.
This team is relentlessly focused on making Harbor Freight Tools a great place to work and to shop by setting our 22,000+ store associates up for success each day.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesDaily OperationsMaintain high level of expertise within area of responsibility, including deep understanding of standard operating procedures and support tools, frequently participating in store execution to maintain both theoretical and practical knowledge.Proactively maintain key assets for area of responsibility, including standard operating procedures, support tools, and training, ensuring these tools are high quality, accurate, and complete.Build and maintain strong relationships with cross-functional business partners, representing store voice in daily operations, issue/risk management, and SLAs.Facilitate and drive accountability within cross-functional meetings with key partners focused on operational improvements, service levels, communication, and project updates.
Optimization & ProjectsProactively identify and quantify opportunities to improve store operations and drive cross-functional alignment to pursue through larger initiatives or smaller projects.Develop solutions and represent Store Operations in cross-functional solution design and development, focusing on efficiency, store adoption, and strong execution.Plan, manage, execute, and support operational tests, pilots, and rollout/implementation of new processes, tools and other changes to field leaders and stores.Partner cross-functionally to manage project scope, timeline, budget, issues, risks and provide executive level status updates on regular basis.Build and maintain close relationships with field partners to keep a strong pulse of field environment and to gain feedback and alignment on projects and opportunities for improvementScope:Staff supervision and Development – NoDecision Making – Yes, examples below:Drafts policy documents and resolves problemsProvides data for decision support Provides consultation or expert adviceTravel – Limited Travel, less than 10%, excluding local store travelLocation – Calabasas and Camarillo
