This position is responsible for advancing our Culture of Inclusion the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) strategy of Applied Materials by program managing the DEI Engine.
The individual will work closely with the VP COI, COI Team, HR Staff, and business leaders across the organization to ensure DEI Engine has a clearly communicated/executive Change Management and Communication plan._Primary focus is to integrate and operationalize DEI into key functions of Applied Materials primarily Talent Acquisition, Compensation/Benefit, Affirmative Action, and Corporate Communication.
Support the retention of talent (ERGs) and Coaching and advising key stakeholders._MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES Develop Change Management and Communication plan to deploy and execute the DEI Engine internally in all regions of Applied.
Develop/foster/influence integration change teams across all regions to move the DEI Engine forward.
Manage Engine launch/execution milestones, metrics and measures to monitor and ensure success.
Recognize and respond to regional and local DEI needs, issues and recommendDEI tools, practices, and benchmarking to support the needs of the organization Participates in ensuring the overall corporate DEI strategy is integrated and operationalized into AMATs key stakeholder processes including, Talent Acquisition, Compensation/Benefits, Employee Relations, and Affirmative Action by working collaboratively with each department.
Works closely with HR to ensure alignment with the DEI metrics/measures/scorecard and the Affirmative Action goals and objectives.
Assist HR Communications and Corporate Communications in the development of consistent communications to ensure appropriate messaging of the DEI engine/strategy and spur meaningful and constructive discussions to address DEI issues impacting our employees, communities, and industry.
Lead small team of temporary program managers to achieve results as stated above.Functional/Business Knowledge Deep understanding/certification in Change and Program Management Communication experience or related skill sets Demonstrates in-depth understanding of concepts, theories and principles in DEI and basic knowledge of semi-conductor business Analytics, Tableau, Excel skill setsInterpersonal Skills Guides, influences and persuades others internally in related areas or externally.
Ability to communicate across functions and regions.
