In this role, you will partner with product managers and engineering managers to ensure the delivery of quality features across front end clients, backend microservices, video delivery, analytics, and infrastructure. You will manage all of our cross-functional manual and automated testing frameworks and engage with our quality assurance partners to ensure that every aspect of a feature is ready for delivery. You should understand the balance between automated and manual testing and be committed to streamlining our testing efforts.  nn nn We’re looking for someone who is passionate about quality and is able to build and guide a team to ensure the best product for our consumers by developing processes that are scalable and innovative and will look to recruit and retain the best talent to develop a high-performance team.

nn nn A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES nn nn Oversee the cross-function group of both full time and contractor Quality engineers nn nn Oversee and manage our 3rd party quality assurance partners nn nn Mentor and lead quality engineers to develop automated testing practices and robust pipelines nn nn Recruit and onboard new engineers.

nn nn Accurately estimate team capacity and optimize their deployment across projects nn nn Drive agile development best practices nn nn Work with executives, product management stakeholders, and vendors to plan, scope, and schedule feature delivery nn nn Ensure timeliness of deliverables nn nn Anticipate and react to significant technology changes to ensure the company maintains a competitive industry position nn nn WHAT YOU WILL NEED nn nnMinimum of 10 years of Quality Assurance experience in software engineeringnn nn5+ years of direct management experience leading multiple teams of managers and individual contributorsnn nn5+ years of experience using agile methodologies for software developmentnn nnExpert knowledge of client applications on platforms such as iOS, Android, Web nn nnExperience managing mixed engineering organizations including local, remote, and vendor resourcesnn nnExperience with backend servers and databasesnn nnExcellent problem solving, communication, and collaboration skillsnn nnStrong work ethic with a sense of humornn nn NICE TO HAVE, BUT NOT A DEAL BREAKER nn nnBachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent combination of education and experiencenn nnExperience with video deliverynn nn We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, gender identity, disability, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
