About Liberty Hill

At Liberty Hill Foundation, we are at the forefront of social change, championing social justice and equity by supporting grassroots movements in communities most affected by systemic oppression. Our mission is to transform lives, communities, and policies, building a more equitable future for all. We are a dynamic team of passionate changemakers, committed to supporting community organizing through our programs: grantmaking, training and capacity building, and alliance building.

Our staff represents a dedicated community of people who are committed to social justice and improving the material conditions in which we live. At Liberty Hill, we’re also committed to our organizational values of Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (JEDI).

We embrace the differences and characteristics that make us all unique, and we encourage collaboration as an essential element of our mission to reach our North Star goal—to achieve justice and equity by building power in communities most impacted by systemic oppression.

The Role

As the Program Director for Bold Vision/Environmental Leadership Initiative (PDBV), you embody the transformative force driving two vital programs toward dismantling disparities and fostering equity in our communities. With a steadfast commitment to our shared vision, you lead the charge in guiding Bold Vision, which seeks to empower marginalized youth in Los Angeles County to realize their fullest potential. Simultaneously, you champion the Environmental Leadership Initiative (ELI), igniting a movement for environmental justice by investing in emerging leaders dedicated to building power within diverse California communities.

Drawing upon the wisdom of our Community Council and collaborating with diverse teams, you inspire collective action to nurture these emerging leaders, empowering them to drive meaningful change. Your strategic direction not only shapes innovative capacity-building strategies but also serves as a beacon of inspiration, rallying others to join us on this transformative journey toward a brighter, more equitable future. From designing impactful grantmaking programs to facilitating dynamic training sessions, you ignite passion and purpose in community organizers, activists, and nonprofit leaders alike. Together, guided by your unwavering dedication, we strive toward a more just society where every individual has the opportunity to thrive and contribute to positive change.

This is a grant-funded role and Bold Vision will be eligible for renewal in August 2025. ELI will be eligible through September 2027.
