Position Objective

The objective of the Professional Services Delivery Manager (PSDM) is to ensure the growth of the professional services business by defining, developing and managing solution delivery and implementation services in conjunction with Field Engineering, Relationship Management and Sales teams.  

The PSDM has a high level of knowledge across multiple disciplines and provide vision, leadership and expertise to the various project coordinators and project managers in the organization, and works to ensure that each of his/her team members have the skills needed to be successful and addresses/expedites escalations when necessary.  

Essential Job Functions

• Provide functional leadership for a professional services team with a focus on:

     o Project Delivery

     o Project Design

     o Mentoring/Coaching

     o Team Management

     o Subject Matter Expertise

• Responsible for project delivery strategies and processes 

     o Work with market and national sales teams on post-sales activities coordination

     o Billings Pipeline review

     o Reporting & tools creation and refinement

• Provide high-level strategic consulting to teams and markets as appropriate.  

     o Support Solutions Architects (SA) and sales representatives with strategic consulting assignments (when needed)

     o Participate in assessments and Technology Business Plans (when needed)

• Mentor/Coach team members in the areas of:

     o Technical & Solution competencies

     o Client service skills

     o All Covered standards, processes, etc. (“The All Covered Way”)

     o Company values and All Covered Citizenship

• Provide team management and support via:

     o Coaching/mentoring as outlined above o Technical and Solutions training 

     o Review technical documents generated by Project Services team

     o Review and approval of work schedule and time off

     o Respond to escalation issues from team members

     o Responsible for interviewing Project Services team members and making hiring recommendations

     o Support employee retention initiatives and communicate gaps or deficiencies in programs

• Further All Covered Solution capabilities in Subject Matter area

     o Participate in the evaluation, testing and process for standard technologies and products

     o Stay current on emerging technologies and solutions relevant to All Covered target client base.

Competencies (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)

• VTSP (VMware), MCP (Microsoft), CCNA (Cisco) and/or equivalent engineering and technical sales certifications preferred.

• Able to facilitate technical strategy sessions (client and internal)

• Experience in “matrix/influencer” role

• Demonstrated experience implementing IT projects

• Significant design experience around network design including LAN/WAN, messaging technologies, database technologies, security solutions, etc.

• Advanced knowledge of disaster recovery, business continuity and risk management solutions

• Strong understanding of IT systems architecture, technologies and methodologies

• Proven dedication to enabling quality through continuous improvement

• Exhibits strong coaching skills and potential leadership skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Successful at working in a team culture

• Possess valid and clear drivers’ license

• Project management skills

• PMP® or above certification a plus

Experience, Educational Reqts and Certifications

• BA or BS degree or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience

• 5-10 years multiple operating systems network engineering/administration experience

• 3+ years’ experience managing technical teams
