Job Description:Production Supervisor (2nd Shift)Huntsman’s Advanced Materials Division is now searching for a new Production Supervisor who will be responsible for manufacturing products by supervising staff, while organizing and monitoring workflow. This role is an active, full member of the production team, located in Los Angeles, CA.As the Production Supervisor, you will:* Supervise and coordinate the overall Production activities:* Create work assignments, schedule overtime and other administrative duties including approval of time sheets.* Manage personnel issues for shift with guidance from Human Resources and Production Manager up to and including disciplinary action.* Act as Incident Coordinator for initial response to plant emergencies.* Ensure that the operators comply with safety, quality, manufacturing, and housekeeping standards* Responsible for the overall emergency response for the site during off shifts.* Responsible for EHS training according to OSHA standards.* Responsible for the overall management of on-site resources including personnel assignments, warehouse withdrawals, and optimizing the flow of supplies for the department, etc.* Responsible for following environmental regulations during shifts.* Responsible for the accuracy of inventory using SAP transactions, including cycle counts.* Responsible for managing safety work permits.* Responsible for dispensing, controlling, and managing DEA monitored materials.* Facilitate good working relations among Operators.* Trains, evaluates, and reviews Operators.* Ensures Operators remain current on all Training.* Responsible for executing the schedule and/or negotiate and required changes with Planning.* Responsible for organization and scheduling of Operators.* Maintains thorough knowledge of all processes and equipment.* Responsible for communicating, training, and documenting process changes.* Responsible for maintaining up to date production adjustment records.* Report any process or equipment problems.* Troubleshoot problems.* Ensures fair workload among Operators.* Complete special projects as assigned.Skills and experiences required:* A minimum of high school diploma or equivalent with 2 – 5 years supervisory/leadership experience with 2 years production experience.* An associate degree in a technical field highly desirable.* Good leadership skills, administrative skills, organizational skills, and communication skills.* Hands-on and mechanically inclined capabilities are a plus.* Proficiency in using Microsoft Office and SAP.Huntsman offers unsurpassed opportunities to build a successful future.
