Essential to the success of our multi-service clients, Darkroom’s Product Marketers lead stakeholders across the organization to successfully position and launch our clients’ offerings, build cross-functional alignments across high-priority initiatives, and launch key campaigns that drive customer value, positive sentiment, and business success.
The right candidate is someone who can refine Darkroom’s go-to-market (GTM) vision and support strategy, informed by industry trends and market insights.
You also know or have a love for CPG, DTC e-commerce, and branding.
This role is a contract-to-hire position, with the opportunity to become a full-time, permanent job at the end of a trial period.
What you’ll do:
- Build strong brand and product positionings, winning narratives, and integrated marketing strategy across Darkroom’s clients to ensure we’re delivering customer value and clear understanding
- Drive go-to-market plans, working closely and cross-functionally with design, development (digital products), creative production, and growth marketing leaders and teams across the agency to determine effective launch strategy and communications sequencing for our clients
- Partner with Operations and team leaders to ensure decisions, activities, and hand-offs are executed cleanly within matrixed project teams
- Tackle complex challenges with a strategic mindset and thoughtful action plans to unlock marketing innovation and impact
- Collaborate and advise clients on risk management procedures, implementation timelines, and change management implications
From a team of one to many: Darkroom is looking to find its first Product Marketer.
This individual will be the founding member of a team that Darkroom sees as key to its continued growth.
This individual should be excited by the opportunity to set the vision and measures of success for this team.
Steer the ship: You’ll engage with brands during different stages of their business lifecycle, launching brands to market, or growing a client from $1M to tens of millions of dollars in revenue.
Make data-driven decisions: Fundamental to the role will be a thorough analysis of client businesses in order to identify and conceptualize monthly, quarterly, and annual growth KPIs.
Think critically: The ability to isolate and identify early growth obstacles will be pivotal in making high-level marketing recommendations and guiding the decision-making process on behalf of the client.
Think creatively: You’ll come up with omnichannel strategies and ad campaigns that push the envelope in each respective market/vertical that increases brand equity for clients.
Communicate effectively: Act as a high-level authority when it comes to strategic marketing decisions for each individual client.
This necessitates meeting Darkroom’s standard of excellence in team meetings, client interactions, and presentations consistently.
Daily goal tracking to ensure teams are on the path to success: This includes clear communication on how current performance is tracking in relation to goals set out for the client-rationalizing deviation and course correcting, as early as possible, if necessary.
Collaborate internally: Work with each Darkroom internal team to set goals and objectives in order to meet customer’s marketing and business objectives.
Act proactively: Identifying client needs, addressing them, and connecting them to other Darkroom internal personnel, service offerings that may stimulate growth.
What you’ll need to be successful :
- Bachelor’s Degree or similar equivalent experience.
- Minimum 4 years of experience as a high-performing marketer, launching and scaling consumer products, apps, or services for well-known consumer brands
- Experience creating advertising campaigns and go-to-market strategies for a variety of clients and know how to use a combination of digital advertising, creative production, website design, and social media presence to grow via organic and paid media channels.
- Strong mastery of internal marketing mechanics, terminology, and structure-including AOV, CAC, LTV-and digital acquisition terminology.
- Organized and proficient in project management software such as ClickUp, Asana, or Trello.
- Familiarity with e-commerce and digital marketing platforms-namely Facebook Ads Manager, Google Ads Suite, Google Analytics, Snapchat, TikTok, Klaviyo, Iterable, Pinterest, Twitch, Twitter, and Shopify.
- Mastery of synthesizing insights and data trends from Supermetrics, Google Data Studio, and other data visualization software to build considered integrated strategy.
- Firm understanding of the creative application of advertising on different social media platforms.
Ability to recognize and conceptualize thoughtful creative strategies is a prerequisite of all Darkroom employees.
