Role
Parenting is one of the greatest joys in life. Loving our children is natural and intuitive but knowing how to parent them is a skill built on experience. Yet modern parents often have little childcare experience and little hands-on help from friends and family. That is a problem because exhaustion and the stress of parenting can trigger a host of serious issues, including marital conflict, breastfeeding failure, accidents, obesity, postpartum depression/anxiety and thousands of infant sleep deaths?each and every year.
That?s where Happiest Baby makes a difference! We develop science-based products, content and services to enhance children?s well-being and to help solve every day parenting challenges.
Happiest Baby seeks to hire a certified Doula who can join our efforts in helping parents succeed at their more important job ? raising healthy, happy children.
We are looking for a Doula who is interested in helping parents resolve sleep/nap issue and other newborn concerns, too. You would take over conversations from our front-line sleep specialists. You would ask questions to understand the specific needs of parents and babies and to offer suggestions to improve infant sleep, feeding, and other general tips.
This role would support parents over phone, email, and video and can be done in our office or your home!
Requirements:
- Certified Doula
- At least 2 years of experience
- Empathetic and Patient
- Organized and can work with multiple parents
- Familiar with Happiest Baby on the Block and the 5 S?s
- Knowledgeable on sleep schedules, breastfeeding, infant care
