Getlabs provides convenient at-home lab appointments. Rather than needing to go to a laboratory and sit in a waiting room, patients pick a time and we send a phlebotomist to draw their samples. Once collected, we deliver to the top national laboratories including Labcorp and Quest Diagnostics.

Our team has extensive domain expertise in technology, operations, and healthcare with team members from Y Combinator, Uber, DoorDash, Sonder, Cisco, CVS, LabCorp, and Quest Diagnostics. Getlabs is backed by prominent venture capital firms including PivotNorth, Liquid 2, Tusk, Rosecliff, and more.

We are currently seeking a full-time Operations Manager in Los Angeles interested in joining a high-growth stage startup. The mandate of the Operations Manager is simple but challenging: own our day-to-day operations throughout the market and ensure our patients have the best experience possible.

The Operations Manager oversees all aspects of Los Angeles’ patient operations. You will be responsible for ensuring that every Getlabs experience meets and exceeds the patients expectations. You will also hire and manage a team of hourly phlebotomists.

Above all, we are seeking candidates who are self-starters and are resourceful, organized, detail-oriented, communicative, and friendly.

At Getlabs, you will:

  • Manage a team of amazing frontline phlebotomists including coaching, training, and career progression support
  • Work hard to drive down costs and improve continuously
  • Monitor inventory management and ensure proper levels
  • Develop, refine, and scale processes as we grow to 1000’s of visits a month
  • Assist with day-to-day customer service including interactions with customers via inbound calls, outbound calls, emails, and other communication platforms
  • Work closely with the Director of Operations to build and improve operations

What we are looking for:

  • A disciplined worker who can get the job done with minimal supervision
  • 4-8 years of professional experience in health care and/or hospitality operations
  • At least 3 years of management experience
  • Past experience with early-stage startups
  • Phenomenal people skills and experience in hiring, training, coaching, and managing hourly employees
  • A proven ability to handle ambiguity in the absence of defined systems and processes
  • A creative thinker that challenges assumptions and wants to participate in changing the health care landscape
  • Competency with Google applications and willingness to embrace new technology
  • Bonus Qualifications: American Medical Technologists (AMT), American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP), or National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) certifications
