Job Purpose:
Direct export operations for the department, facilitating day-to-day responsibilities while ensuring productivity, efficiency, and profitability.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Monitor and execute ocean operations, ensuring daily tasks are handled efficiently and accurately
Conduct price analysis to align with market rates guaranteeing competitiveness with ocean and trucking rates
Periodic check-ins with customers, asking how we can better support their needs and develop more of their business
Initiate and managers new customer start up process
Occasional service satisfaction to ensure we are performing at their level of expectation
Oversee employee performance, coaching and developing when necessary
Identify, and resolve problems that may arise
Qualifications:
Ability to come to work on time, and work the duration of the shift
Communicate positively and effectively with team members and customers
Have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Take the time necessary to ensure attention to detail and efficiency
Experience:
Knowledge of Shipper’s Associate
Relationships with ocean carriers with the ability to negotiate with carriers
Experience working with trucking carriers with established connections
Physical Requirements:
Sit for prolonged amount of time
Using a computer, keyboard, and mouse
