Northrop Grumman Defense Systems in Northridge, CA is currently seeking a Sr.

Manager (M3) of General Manufacturing.

In this role, the selected candidate will (but not be limited to): Identify and coordinate the operations area necessary to meet government contract requirements for the plant and its cost objectives.

Maintain staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees; developing personal growth opportunities.

Maintain work flow by monitoring steps of the process; setting processing variables; observing control points and equipment; monitoring personnel and resources; studying methods; implementing cost reductions; developing reporting procedures and systems; facilitating corrections to malfunctions within process control points; initiating and fostering a spirit of cooperation within and between departments.

Complete production plans by scheduling and assigning personnel; accomplishing work results; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; revising schedules; resolving problems and reporting results.

Maintain and monitors SOP’s for shop floor safety and control.

Maintain quality standards by establishing and enforcing organization quality objectives.

Maintain safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources; maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.

Resolve personnel problems by analyzing data; investigating issues; identifying solutions; recommending action.

Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Plan and control monthly department overhead expenses.

Actively contribute to future budgetary forecasting and capital expenditure projects.

Develop, maintain and execute master production schedule.Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Engineering or equivalent field.

5+ years of proven experience in a manufacturing management role.

10+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.

Proven, effective leadership and organizational skills.

Must have extremely effective written and oral communication skills to all levels of employees within the organization.

Must possess a strong working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of tools.

(Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret Security Clearance or higher within a timeframe set forth by management.

Working knowledge of quality systems, finance, capital planning, and project cost tracking and forecasting, economic justification analysis, statistical process control, and manufacturing management systems.

Knowledge of MRP/ERP systems.Preferred Qualifications: Master’s Degree in Business Management, Engineering or equivalent field.

10+ years of proven experience in a manufacturing assembly environment.
