New Products Manager

Our team is lookingto hire an Insurance Product Manager to serve as the subject matterexpert on insurance products and annuities. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Manage all insurance-related products sales and support on behalfof the firm, including variable annuities, life insurance, long-termcare and disability income insurance Lead and coordinate insurance product strategy, promote productsales, maintain product partner relationships, and ensure there isadequate support for insurance products via external wholesaling,brokerage agencies and internal resources Ensure that branch managers and advisors have a consistent supplyof high-quality insurance products to meet the needs of their clients Educate and engage Financial Advisors to build insurance andannuity engagement, and help develop and promote sales concepts Build relationships with external and internal wholesalers forvariable annuities products Meet with prospective advisor candidates and Insurance Carriers tofacilitate business Collaborate with internal business areas and outside BrokerageGeneral Agencies for traditional insurance products, Life, Long-termcare and fixed annuities Manage and support department staff to optimize productivity Collaborate with key stakeholders, management, and salesdepartments to develop and evaluate new product ideas Drive the business by developing new business profitability,design, implementation, and launch of new products in order toachieve profit targets and sales growth objectives Develop market-leading solutions to help our corporate clientsoptimize working capital and maximize efficiencies Perform other duties as required and assigned Experience and Skills Bachelors degree from an accredited university required,preferably in Business or related field; or equivalent work experience 5 or more years of experience as a Product Manager, preferably inFinancial Services industry 5 years of experience in life insurance/annuity projects 5 years of related experience in managerial role preferred Series 6 or 7, 63/66, and Insurance licenses required within 6months of hire; Series 9,10, and 24 may be required in the future. Industry designations such as CLU, ChFC, CFP preferred Compliance oversight, risk management, or supervisory-relatedexperience preferred Extensive knowledge of various Insurance products includingvariable annuities, fixed equity indexed annuities, supervisorypolicies, and industry rules and regulations Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Powerpoint) Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Strong relationship management skills with demonstrated ability todrive results and influence stakeholders to align behind a common vision Extensive knowledge of competitive market, operations and variousproducts and services Some light travel required The reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role hasnot been adjusted for the applicable geographic location. A reasonableestimate of the current hiring range is $81,000 to $115,000.Colleagues may be eligible for additional, discretionary incentivecompensation based on the individual and the firm’s performance. AtWedbush, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at, or near,the top of the range for their role. Decisions regarding compensationare determined on a case-by-case basis and are dependent on a varietyof factors including but not limited to skill sets; experience andtraining; licensure and certifications; and other business andorganizational needs.
