National Accounts Director – Extremity Orthopedics

My Medical Device Client has some of the leading products used in lower extremity orthopedic surgery. They are seeking to hire a National Accounts Director responsible for managing, developing and overall productivity and effectiveness of a sales team. The Accounts Director will direct and support the consistent implementation of key strategic initiatives to secure business development opportunities, increase revenue and promote growth. In this role, the Director will manage client relationships, help negotiate contracts and support revenue generation.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead, manage and develop national accounts
  • Manage corporate objectives for growth; meet / exceed sales goals and quotas
  • Create and ensure implementation of strategic sales plans, promote sales growth
  • Establish and maintain customer relationships
  • Ensure team maintains proper sales and product trainings
  • Evaluate sales/account management activity and sales performance
  • Provide sales and product training and sales development as needed
  • Support promotional and product marketing in collaboration with marketing dept.
  • Establish business development plans/strategies based on the market in alignment with customer needs/objectives
  • Keep well-informed of available products, competitors, market trends and articulate the value proposition

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required; MBA preferred
  • Min. 5+ years Sales Management experience required
  • Min. 8+ years of National Sales experience within Medical Device experience within orthopedics / lower extremity required
  • Ability to negotiate contracts
  • Ability to navigate, develop and manage relationships amongst IDN key decision makers
  • Proven success in managing, training and mentoring a sales team
  • Documented Sales Success of meeting and achieving sales goals
  • Knowledge/Understanding of key revenue drivers, budgeting
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to travel as needed

Offering:

  • Base Salary $150,000 + Bonus potential to @ plan $180,000 + Stock = $200,000+++
