We are looking for a Media Manager to help grow GOAT Group’s user base through traditional media and experiential marketing opportunities including OOH, TV, Social Media and more.
As a member of the MarCom team, the ideal candidate will be highly organized, plan-driven and have strong expertise in buying media, optimizing and reporting on campaign performance.
Within GOAT Group, you will be responsible for buying media for our brands: GOAT, Flight Club and alias.
As a marketplace, the core objective of the role is to grow buyers and sellers through meticulous management of a robust indirect marketing budget.
You will be collaborating across the growth team (Brand, Content, Performance Marketing, CRM, SEO, and Growth Analytics, Product Marketing and Finance) to understand the economics of our business and how to build sustainable growth strategies through paid and organic marketing.
Your core advertising strategies will be focused on traditional advertising (and experiential) through sourcing opportunities directly or through 3rd party agencies.
True to the nature of a rapidly growing company, you will be expected to continually strategize and test new ideas and concepts.
The ideal candidate will have a strong marketing/financial background as the core of the role will be the management of a large budget while optimizing the performance of our advertising channels.

Heres what you will do:
- Manage, optimize and execute comprehensive media plans for all types of inventory with media partners across TV, Podcasts and OOH
- Lead and collaborate with the Brand team to work on all campaign kick-off with deliverables such as creative assets as well as ad scripts and copy for TV [local, national, broadcast, cable, OTT, etc.] OOH and Podcasts
- Creatively strategize and develop integrated campaign tactics that includes targeted audience, flighting, channels/networks, etc.
- Lead post-campaign wrap-up reports retrospectives on strategies, tactics and performance to senior managers and internal marketing teams to implement learnings for future campaigns
- Partner with all media agency partners by participating in media planning sessions, sharing best practices, launch check-ins, mid-campaign check-ins, etc.
- Experiential: Work closely with the brand team to develop out-of-the-box strategies for our focused audience excitement and broad awareness.
Leverage new and existing assets to generate media worthy buzz
- Project Management: Contribute and manage our team quarterly roadmap to execute on advertising projects via our project management software, Asana.
- International Collaboration: Collaborate with our international marketing teams to support buyer and seller acquisition strategies through large scale advertising opportunities.
- Budgeting: Manage budgets and costs with an ROI focused approach and provide monthly updated reports
- Reporting: Closely monitor, measure and report on campaign performance, budgeting and conduct ad hoc analyses.
- Negotiation: Negotiating with advertising sales agents to ensure the most cost-effective deal structures.
- Planning : Source and discover extraordinary opportunities that unlock incredible value from a reach and engagement perspective
- Research: Conducting market research and analyzing demographics, media usage, psychographic, and buying patterns to define the target audience and campaign requirements.
Experience requirements:
- Must have 3-5 years experience at a media agency with experience as a Media Buyer with entrepreneurial mindset and a BA/BS (Business, Marketing, Math, Economics, Statistics, or Finance)
- Must experience managing multiple vendor relationships and projects
- Strong excel and analytical skills
– must be able to interpret raw data into meaningful insights and KPIs. - Mastery of the economics of Media Buying in OOH, TV, Radio, Events, Etc.
- Exceptional project management experience; agile marketing is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interface effectively with stakeholders.
- Ecommerce, marketplace or online retail experience is a plus.
- Proficiency in Asana or Jira, a plus
