Manager Regulatory Risk Assessments

**MANAGER REGULATORY RISK ASSESSMENTS****WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?**Responsible for CNB’s compliance risk assessment processes.

This position will manage the compliance risk assessment process.

This process engages 1LOD business units across the bank, to inventory their regulatory themes, associated controls and effectiveness of controls for each area.

These areas are required to implement the Compliance Program elements which cascade down from RBC and are aligned with heightened standards.**Compliance Risk Management Division**This is a great opportunity to grow your career with a stable and expanding organization as a member of City National’s Compliance Risk Management team.

The focus is on ensuring business activities remain safe, compliant and well-positioned for future opportunity and sustainable growth.**WHAT WILL YOU DO?**+ Develop process and work closely with compliance advisors and regulatory change management to incorporate regulatory changes within the Compliance Risk Assessment process.+ Manage and coordinate the business unit compliance risk assessment process including remediation of inadequacies.

Oversee compliance risk assessment review and challenge process.+ Align the regulatory change management systems with the compliance risk assessment process including harmonization of risk taxonomies.+ Consolidate and aggregate compliance risk assessment results and draft annual enterprise compliance risk assessment report.

Provide appropriate management and board level reporting on compliance risk assessment process.+ Perform TPRM monitoring review and challenge assignments.

Complete required training administered through the CNB’s compliance training program.

Support regulatory policy updates as required.+ Enhancing and maintaining a risk assessment program and framework based on established standards.+ Maintain of an inventory of business line risk assessments.

Track and document substantive changes for accurate recordkeeping and maintain accurate version control.+ Perform enterprise regulatory theme gap assessments within the taxonomy, CNB and associated business units.+ Monitor and report on alignment, completeness and results of business unit testing in alignment with risk assessment.+ Fulfill other duties as assigned.**WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED****Must-Have***+ Bachelor’s Degree Banking, Finance or Law+ Minimum of 7 years of experience in banking, compliance, regulatory change management or risk assessment And+ Minimum 5 years experience with managing projects or processes And+ Minimum 4 years of experience performing risk assessments.

And**Skills and Knowledge**+ Ability to influence/motivate others to produce desired results.+ Ability to handle problem situations with colleagues effectively and take appropriate action.+ Ability to operate effectively in a fast paced environment.+ Strong ability to work in a complex team environment requiring exceptional communication, project management and organizational skills.+ Working knowledge of bank technology and systems.+ Experience in regulatory change management.+ Excellent analytical, verbal and written communication skills.+ Excellent attention to detail and follow-up skills.+ Ability to perform functional duties and related positions with minimal supervision.+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills; excellent interpersonal/customer service skills; broad knowledge of regulatory requirements.+ Ability to analyze complex situations and provide guidance, makes recommendations, and/or escalates the issues to appropriate level of management.+ Ability to multi-task and switch gears to work on special projects.+ Exceptional PC skills required, including all Microsoft Office applications.***To be considered for this position you must meet at least these basic qualifications**The preceding job description has been designed to indicate the general nature and level of work performed by employees within this classification.
