Manager, Production – Adult Animation Genre

Netflix is seeking a Manager for Adult Animation Series Production with a focus on Action/Genre. This role is an integral part of a dynamic team that serves as the production point person for television animated series. The successful candidate will be expected to collaborate extensively with Netflix cross-functional teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality animation productions.

The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of varied animation production processes and be able to demonstrate flexible use of their production knowledge. The candidate should be self-motivated, proactive, and capable of advising on multiple productions simultaneously.

Key responsibilities include overseeing the entire production process, from initial concept to final delivery, while maintaining the highest quality standards. The role involves managing project budgeting, scheduling, and staffing, and staying abreast of the latest industry trends and technologies. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Production – Animation Series.

Responsibilities:

    • Serve as the production point person, flexibly balancing creative understanding and production needs
    • Manage scheduling, budgeting, day-to-day and long-term planning of animation projects of varying degrees of complexity
    • Identify, source, support, and guide partner animation studios
    • Track and problem-solve throughout all phases of animation production to ensure delivery on schedule, within budget, and to creative expectations
    • Display adaptability in prioritizing and re-prioritizing as situations arise during production
    • Foster and maintain good relationships with leadership and crews on animated series, animation studios, and Netflix teams
    • Liaise with, and update Netflix Teams throughout all phases of production
    • Ensure that appropriate procedures are followed in all phases of production and for the confidentiality and security of the work
    • Handle confidential information discreetly

Qualifications:

    • Possess a strong knowledge of all phases of animation production and the ability to structure their thoughts well
    • In-depth experience working with Talent (writers, directors, producers)
    • Extensive experience and knowledge of pre-production, production, and post-production methods in 2D and CG
    • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interface with varied levels of management, talent, and staff
    • Proficiency in Google Suite, MS Word, Excel, Final Draft, Shotgun
    • Must be able to work on-site 4 days per week in Hollywood, CA

Our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $160,000 – $360,000.
