This person will create a service-oriented environment to meet the needs of internal/external stakeholders, ensuring prompt and thorough response to all requests.

Ensure proper three-way matching prior to payment.

Support the accuracy of Accounts Payable related general ledger accounts by ensuring that routine activities are being completed in a timely manner (e.g., payments are entered, credit memos are applied, POs are being closed).

Review coding and subsidiary allocations for Accounts Payable invoices, credit card expenses, and petty cash posted to the General Ledger.

Review banking support items for reconciliations, returned payments, positive pay exceptions.

Manage and maintain the employee expense reimbursement process by ensuring that expense invoices are appropriately approved by department heads and paid accurately and timely.

Research, resolve, and communicate invoicing issues, discrepancies, or outstanding balances on vendor accounts accordingly.

Reconcile monthly vendor statements.

Work closely with the Accounting team to ensure month-end accruals are properly recorded.

Create and enter journal entries as necessary.

Prepare and/or review account reconciliations including review of the Accounts Payable and Received Not Invoiced subledgers for completeness and accuracy.

Prepare monthly bank reconciliations for A/P accounts.

Reconcile cleared checks in ERP system.

Review and document operating practices, procedures and/or systems.

Ensure accurate reporting of Form 1099s annually.

Develop, monitor and report on key department metrics, such as invoice aging, accuracy and efficiency.

Perform and/or prepare ad hoc analysis, tasks and reports Assemble information for external auditors for the annual audit and quarterly reviews.n n The best candidates will have.n Associates Degree in Accounting/ Bookkeeping or related field required Extensive knowledge about accounts payable procedures, as well as experience with accounting and management principles.

Accounting degree preferred but not required.

5-7 years of experience managing Accounts Payable in a high-volume, fast-paced environment, including prior management experience.

E-commerce experience preferred.

Extensive experience coding invoices to general ledger accounts and allocating to subsidiaries required.

Comfortable working in multiple systems and software environments.

Ability to drive and assist in the implementation of new systems.

Netsuite, Sage, MS Dynamics, Oracle, SAP or other mid
– and large-tier ERP experience preferred.

Accounts Payable experience working with product inventory (specifically experience with Three Way Matching) required Proficient with Microsoft Office; specifically, Excel V-lookups and Pivot Tables Excellent project management, verbal communication, analytical and written skills.

Ability to multitask.

Strong math and analytical skills.

Excellent interpersonal skills, with the desire for continuous learning and improvement.

Must get along with people, be a team player, self-starter, with excellent customer service skills.

Ability to professionally facilitate meetings and be comfortable communicating one-on-one with vendors to resolve issues.

Experience leading projects to completion, including implementation of ACH (book to bank)
– working with bank coding, inbound and outbound files, automation of vendor onboarding, and outsourcing of check printing.

Own relationships with vendors and serve as the central escalation point for any vendor issues, ensuring prompt handling of internal and/or external inquiries including timely provision of status updates to relevant stakeholders Is accountable for results, approaches obstacles proactively, and looks for ways to resolve problems and issues.

Have a work ethic based on a strong desire to exceed expectations.
