As a Carrier Management resource, you will be a Drayage Carrier Management point of support for the West coast dray operations in our Drayage office in Wilmington, CA.Responsibilities of the Carrier Management:Develop and implement strategies for Owner operator recruitingInitiate Owner-Operator leads by networking, cold-calling prospects, and building strategic relationships as part of a coordinated recruiting strategyCoordinate, travel to, and lead meetings with potential Fleet OwnersWork with established carrier base to procure rates and capacity for our dynamic network of Dray operationMeet with carriers to focus on continuing needs, service level as well as to better understand and effectuate the synergy within the department.Support Capacity & pricing for new business opportunities and network analysisWork closely with operations in securing commitments and awarding business to preferred carriers across the networkStay up to date on intermodal drayage market conditions and pricing strategiesEffectively communicate drayage market factors and potential client impacts to appropriate stakeholdersCarrier vetting for possible onboarding, including contract administration, insurance compliance, and carrier safety rating monitoring supportDedicated and fleet analysis/design as warrantedRequired Qualifications of the Carrier Management:Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Finance, or similar.

Will consider equivalent years of experience or combination of education and experience in lieu of degree.2+ years of experience negotiating transportation carrier pricing and securing necessary capacity.Excellent understanding of Drayage operations and carrier cost driversExcellent communication and presentation skillsPreferred Qualifications of the Carrier Management:Experience recruiting driversUnderstanding of equipment market requirementsUnderstanding of Port operationsWhy Lineage?This is an excellent position to begin your career path within Lineage!
