We are seeking a Licensing Manager to help lead accounting operations and take over the close process. The Assistant Controller’s primary tasks include supporting the Controller with the supervision of accounting staff; leading the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes; and reporting updates to the Controller. This role is currently remote, but the company expects an eventual return to an office environment.

- Duties: Develop and cultivate strong relationships within the licensing industry and particularly with assigned licensors through regular communication and exceptional service
- Provide analysis, research and strategic thought leadership to deliver overall licensing plans and financial goals
- Support licensing strategy development through the identification of emerging trends, analysis of licensed brand lifecycles, industry insight and licensed business plan innovation
- Prepare proposals, presentations and business reviews with existing and new licensor base. Negotiate, evaluate, execute and manage license agreements to meet identified business objectives
- Manage day-to-day business and contractual requirements for assigned licensors throughout the contract lifecycle, including contract development and execution, forecasts, reporting, contract compliance, approvals, renewals, etc.
- Collaborate with internal product management, design and development, marketing, sales, legal, procurement, and finance departments
