About the role:
At Foursquare we believe that our people are at the center of everything we do, and hold the keys to the company’s success. As our Learning & Development Manager, you will help shape how our team grows and develops their skills and advance their careers across the organization.
Responsibilities of the role:
- Research, develop, design, manage, and execute all learning initiatives
- Work in partnership with DEI, Organizational Development, HR Business Partners and leaders to ensure our techniques and content are effective, timely and relevant to each audience
- Develop a well rounded toolbox of materials including eLearning, facilitation materials, participant guides, worksheets, and video, in alignment with company brand and design standards.
- Evaluate and implement learning via third party vendors when appropriate
- Help to revamp our company-wide onboarding program and continue to iterate on them so employees have a best in class experience
- Partner with functional leaders to cultivate department-specific onboarding and continuous learning programs
- Partner with Marketing on internal events helping with effective learning techniques and agendas
- Utilize survey data and additional feedback loops to drive engagement through learning programs, from development to implementation, working cross-functionally to ensure a successful rollout and follow through of efforts
- Identify metrics to track success of learning and development initiatives
- Find new ways to share information across individuals, teams and offices.
- Create annual budgets for learning and development efforts, and manage to those budgets throughout the year
Qualifications:
- 5 years experience in a similar role or similar working experience at a tech organization
- Passionate about human-centred training and strong desire to build and scale high-impact learning experiences and programs
- Highly motivated, productive, and an independent developer in a fast-paced/startup or hyper growth environment.
- Excellent communication skills, including active listening, synthesis, and the ability to clearly communicate ideas throughout the program development process
- Strong writing skills, including the ability to correspond professionally and clearly with a wide variety of internal stakeholders
- Facilitation skills, including a comfort level of presenting in front of a large number of people virtually and in-person, effectively disseminating content, creative use of learning activities, and the ability guide group conversations
- Always researching and aware of current trends in L&D to keep us in the forefront of training and development
- Ability to work cross-functionally including all HR functions, leaders and managers to gain insight into learning and development needs
- Uses data collection and analysis to drive action plans
- Bachelor’s Degree, Masters Degree strongly preferred in related field
