Morgan Consulting Resources, Inc. has been retained to conduct the search for the Director (or Associate Vice President) of Organizational Learning and Development for AltaMed . The Director reports directly to the CHRO and will be responsible for overseeing the talent management function for AltaMed’s 4,000 employees. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an organization with a long-standing reputation for providing high quality healthcare with a very strong senior leadership team who is deeply committed to the population they serve. This is a hybrid position based in Los Angeles, CA (first 90 days onsite; then 3 days in office and 2 days remote). About AltaMed: AltaMed is the largest independent Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in the U.S. We are governed by a Consumer Board and led by a President & CEO that transformed what was originally a single free clinic in the late 1960’s into a 4,000 strong organization and 46 physical sites providing PACE, medical, dental, and pharmacy services in southern California serving 450,000 patients in 2022. AltaMed has built a research center that has received grants from the National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparities, and receives consistent funding from the NIH, has recently opened a Family Residency Program and is considering setting up a nursing school. Altura Management Services is a Management Services Organization (MSO), serving over 250,000 lives. The role will lead change management efforts to capitalize on building existing internal strengths and utilizing innovative learning tools, solutions, analytics, and technologies to operationalize the organization’s aspirational mission, vision, and core values. The Director (or Associate Vice President) will be a key member of the HR leadership, offering perspectives and strategies that enrich employee life cycle experience and the programs, services, and solutions within the organizational lines of business. The organizational imperative is to ultimately improve the quality of health and human services in the communities we serve. This position may be filled at a Director or Associate Vice President level, based on experience.
