MPI encourages applications from minorities, women, the disabled, protected veterans and all other qualified applicants.*Description** Oversee construction projects from beginning to end* Monitors and manages project close-out with respect to project certification with the Division of State Architects (DSA) and project financial close out* Reviews substitution submittals from contractors to ensure specification and/or District requirements are complied with* Administers provisions of Professional Service Agreements between Architects and the District* Coordinates District delivery of related fixtures, furniture and equipment* Manage the budget and estimate costs* Prepare reports regarding job status* Resolve any problems that may arise* Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes* Collaborate with subcontractors, engineers, architects and key team members of the project team* Negotiate with external vendors on contract agreements* Obtain the appropriate permits and licenses from authorities for construction sites* Plan construction operations* Ensure all deadlines are met* Delegate responsibilities* Allocate and manage resources to ensure that they are available when they are needed throughout the construction projects* Keep all stakeholders aware of the progress on projects and prepare progress reports regularly* Conduct site checks to monitor progress and quality standards* 17 years of project/construction management experience* 5 years of experience in managing large construction projects (values $25M+)* 5 years of experience managing education or public works projects* Experience with Division of the State Architect (DSA) construction/design processes* Safety and OSHA Safety Regulations (OSHA 30 minimum)My clients, international Construction Management firm, provides project management, construction management, estimating, quality assurance, inspection, scheduling to construction clients.
