Description:Job Title: Production Supervisor, 1st ShiftJob Code: AS20211504-59783Job Location: Torrance, CAWe currently have an opportunity for a PRODUCTION TEST SUPERVISOR on first shift at our Torrance, California location.
In this position, you will lead a highly skilled manufacturing group producing and testing high-quality vacuum electronic components for commercial and military applications; this requires meeting extremely high manufacturing standards with challenging lead times and cost considerations.
Other responsibilities will include:Management and training of hourly employeesSupporting development and implementation of Lean process improvement plansProviding accurate production status updates to Operations management, Program Management, Engineering, and downstream production areas.QUALIFICATIONS:You will need at least five years of relevant manufacturing experience, preferably with processing, manufacturing and testing of RF components, and integrated assemblies.
Other qualifications that will enable you to perform successfully in this position include:Demonstrated leadership skills are necessary, with previous supervisory experience preferred.Must be able to interpret detailed engineering drawings and associated assembly and test instructions.Effective verbal and written communication skills are required.Ability to create documents, spreadsheets, and presentations.Active or ability to obtain a DOD security clearance is required.Working knowledge of or experience with Lean Manufacturing principles is a plus.Experience in a union environment is beneficial.A relevant bachelor’s degree is preferred.
