We are seeking an IT Training Supervisor to be responsible for identifying information technology training needs within the company and preparing, conducting, and evaluating technical training programs. The IT Training Supervisor is responsible for developing training coursework and related videos including the creation of technical classes. The Supervisor will conduct a variety of technical educational programs, both Instructor-led and virtual instructor-led, observe and report employee progress and program effectiveness. The IT Training Supervisor is a “hands-on” technical position responsible for overseeing the information technology training and documentation team for requests, schedules, and deliverables.

Duties
- Conduct training needs assessment by collecting information pertaining to best practices, workflow assessments, and reports; understanding job-specific functions and tasks
- Identify and assess IT technical training needs across all business units
- Develop, organize, conduct, and evaluate technical training programs, which may include training related to the use of computers, computer systems, software applications (including ERP), mobile phones, or other technical products
- Develop and maintain training content and job aids
- Define course structure, content, and delivery method to produce high-quality training
- Design computer-based training material based on needs analysis
- Create training content based on service desk metrics
- Develop and lead recurring group training classes on IT topics of interest
- Establish and maintain organizational technical training standards; evaluate training effectiveness
- Develop and distribute announcements and newsletters on IT topics of interest
- Supervise the IT Training and Documentation team members
- Responsible for tracking training and documentation requests, creating schedules, and meeting deadlines
- Maintain technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing publications
- Continuously enhance technical instructional delivery and presentation skills
- Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of information technology or technical training experience is required
- Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience
- Experience creating and delivering training materials through various methods (instructor-led, virtual, or computer-based)
- Experience applying instructional design, curriculum development methodologies, and learning strategies in corporate learning programs

- Ability to communicate in an effective and positive manner
- Strong consulting, facilitation and influencing skills
- Advanced knowledge of adult learning principles
- Proven ability to work independently and multi-task in a technically-evolving, multi-faceted environment
- Ability to translate and explain computer issues to users in ways that make sense and apply to their daily business needs

- Excellent communication both written and verbal, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to independently manage projects
- Ability to create and deliver technical training is essential
- Ability to communicate with management and all levels within the company to meet goals
- Ability to communicate concepts in a concise, logical manner so students can absorb and retain
- Ability to travel out of state occasionally as business needs require
- Proficiency in Adobe, Articulate 360 and Microsoft 365 Suite – required
- Ability to learn complex concepts quickly and communicate those concepts in an easy-to-understand manner
- Works effectively under pressure, can manage multiple priorities simultaneously and can work without direct supervision
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive salary commensurate with experience ($63,300-$85,000) with weekly pay via direct deposit. Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. MYR Group reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate.
