Inside Sales Account Manager (Professional Hair Channel)

Our client is a fast-growing, founder-led brand in the hair segment. The Professional Channel Account Manager will drive sales by developing and managing relationships with sales representatives from the distributor partnership, as well as direct relationships with independently owned beauty supply stores and independently owned salons.

This role will build solid relationships with distributor representatives for the professional channel accounts, establishing alignment on goals with executives and cross-functional teams to increase sales and ensure the timely and successful delivery of products meeting account’s needs. In this role, you’d act as the inside point-person making calls to distributor reps in the field. You’ll be the main person processing orders, following up on sample inquiries, and supporting strategy with marketing to develop promotions that would increase sales.

  • Be the primary point of contact supporting the professional channel of distributor partners, independently owned beauty supply stores and independent salons
  • Build strong partnerships with 10+ external reps with the distributor within various territories in the United States and Canada to support approximately 100+ active professional channel accounts
  • Develop a trusted advisor relationship with key accounts and sales reps.
  • Provide support to accounts and reps through email, phone calls, online presentations, in-person/online meetings
  • Manage order processing in NetSuite ERP system to support 100+ orders on a monthly basis. Ensure the timely and successful delivery of products according to customer needs and objectives
  • Gather information on top performing and low performing products and promotions, as well as feedback on what promotions would be helpful to increase sales, etc. Communicate the progress of monthly/quarterly promotions to internal and external stakeholders
  • Responsible for keeping current accounts satisfied and delivering exceptional service daily
  • Partner with VP of Sales to forecast and track key account metrics
  • Collaborate with Marketing team to provide feedback on industry trends and account feedback to influence the product catalogue
  • Attend 4+ professional beauty industry tradeshows and events to work the booth and present product information

 

Requirements:

  • Proven sales/account management building relationships within the beauty industry including distributer partnerships with external sales reps and independently-owned salons
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization, including executive and C-level
  • Experience in delivering client-focused solutions based on customer needs
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects at a time while paying strict attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills. Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills
  • A process-improvement mindset is welcome on this team to improve efficiencies
  • Preferred knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Apps, NetSuite/ERP, CRM system
