SUMMARY : Reporting tothe Chief Business Officer, the Venture & Innovation BusinessDevelopment Manager will be responsible for developing and implementinga strategic plan aimed at cultivating a community of co-investors, portfoliocompanies and innovators to support the company’s corporate venture arm. Thisrole is responsible for developing new and existing investor and clientrelationships, business development, and general reporting to support theteam’s CRM building effort.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

· Build relationships with the venture and innovationcommunity and develop investment, co-investment and acquisition opportunitiesthrough inbound leads and outbound efforts.

  • Responsible for exercising written and verbal skills to optimize each communication with the venture and innovation community. This role will be a key support role to the CBO to optimize sales efficiency and enhance the experience of those interacting with the department.
  • Meet with prospective portfolio companies and co-investors to educate and champion Axiom services.
  • Develop, manage, and execute a comprehensive innovation and venture communications program with key touchpoints such as welcome kits, quarterly newsletter updates, online presence, and other ad hoc communication tactics. Coordinate legal and marketing review of marketing materials for a variety of campaigns and communications tactics.
  • Conference/event planning and logistics – work with CBO to identify and implement logistics for virtual or live conferences/events that advance deal flow with the community.
  • Assist with investor community meeting preparation and follow-up, including creating and updating pitch presentations.
  • Assist with internal reporting projects and ad hoc analysis for the Investor Relations team.
  • Manage investor and innovation community lead and deal flow in CRM system.

Education & Experience

· Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience

· 7-10 years’ relevant experience in investorrelations, venture capital or startup growth managing strategic initiatives, events,communications and CRM

· Demonstrated success in fostering communityengagement that produced measurable business goals

· Demonstrated success within leading aerospace,space, venture capital and/or other global brands

Skills

· Dynamicpersonality with demonstrated high EQ

· Strategicthinker with track record of building and executing operations plans

· Detailedplanner who flies ahead of the plane

· Expertin Office suite and role-related software including project management, CRM, outreachplatforms, analytics
