A well-established and growing distribution company in the San Fernando Valley seeks an Import / Export Manager with Logistics experience.
Manage and be responsible for the department with 2 to 12 associates depending on the Manager’s experience.

Responsibilities:
Import from mainly China to the US to 4 ports Familiar with duty draw back, CTPAT, import and export compliance, and other regulatory agencies Export to North America, Central America and Carrabin Manage all documentations / tracking/ coordination to clear ship/ deliver shipments clearing through US Customs, Canadian customs, FDA, and other governmental agencies working with 3PL forwarders and brokers Negotiate air, ocean, TL, LTL, and small package freight Direct carriers, forwarders, and brokersReview / maintain contracts and approve all billings
Work with vendors and banks to issue, negotiate and approve payment for a letter of credits, document against payments and others Coordinate / manage / track with factories, vendors, and customers ocean containers and air booking Familiar with domestic transportations, drayage, 3Pl warehouses, and other 3rd party logistics companies Coordinate all task with other departments such as sales / purchasing / production team/ accounts payable / warehouse / 3 Pl warehouse and operations Requirements:
· Strong background with Import / Export
· Logistics experience
· Certification or strong familiarity with CTPAT
· Strong people and communication skills
· Bachelor’s Degree preferred
