JOB DESCRIPTION:

Summary/Objective:

Grounds & Hounds is a social-impact coffee company that is committed to using the sale of its organic, specialty coffees to support animal rescue organizations providing safe-havens for dogs between homes. G&H is looking to expand and grow as a profitable business while remaining socially responsible and making an impact in the lives of animals and avid coffee drinkers alike.

We are looking for aMarketing Manager to join our growing team as a marketing generalist who supports marketing initiatives by developing and executing effective marketing campaigns and reporting on their performance. The role entails managing various projects, including implementing marketing programs, website content support, and content distribution across various platforms. 

TheMarketing Manager is a creative thinker who will wear many hats in a fast-paced, close-knit, dog and coffee-loving environment. This position requires a creative, analytical, and highly motivated self-starter responsible for innovating, implementing, and analyzing day-to-day marketing efforts.  

Marketing Manager Responsibilities:

The Marketing Manager plays a key role in growing the G&H business by collaborating with other members of the marketing team to accomplish goals and tasks as opportunities and business needs arise. This includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:

  • Assist with coordination and implementation of marketing strategies and campaigns, including creating engaging content that will attract the right audience.
  • Identify and engage with influencers and develop potential partnerships– identifying, connecting, and engaging with potential influencers and partners to further the Grounds & Hounds mission.
  • Contribute to social media and content calendars by assisting with the production of interesting and shareable content, such as blog articles, social media posts, videos, infographics, etc.
  • Ensure that regular web content updates are performed and checking content for accuracy and consistency.
  • Track relevant metrics using analytics tools, monitor KPIs, and report to senior management on campaign effectiveness.
  • Assist with email marketing and social media campaigns.
  • Stay up-to-date with social media and marketing trends / best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in Marketing and/or Advertising
  • Understanding of key social platforms including Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, TikTok, and YouTube preferred; ability to learn and execute on these platforms is required
  • Strong copywriting, editing, and proofreading skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail, follow-through, organizational skills, and ability to problem solve
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, with a hands on attitude and the ability to think on your toes and pivot accordingly
  • Strong sense of urgency, with the ability to get things done both autonomously and collaboratively
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels and with different audiences
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop is a plus

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work/Physical Requirements

Work Location:  Hybrid office / remote with Los Angeles area preferred.

Compensation for this role will be $60,000 – $90,000 per year (depending on experience) and includes bonus potential and benefits.
