The Director of Ecommerce will own the strategy and roadmap for our DTC website. This role will be highly collaborative, managing all the technical, creative, design, testing, and data work that goes along with owning a successful eCommerce store. The ideal candidate can synthetically blend between analytical data-driven decision making and the insights from a qualitative user interview, thinking holistically about solving customer needs and prioritizing efforts where it matters most to the user and the business. You are as comfortable conceptualizing a new product or feature, as you are weighing the customer, business, and engineering needs. You are highly detail oriented and know that can make or break a product experience, but can always hold the broader brand and business story alive and in mind as you execute on the finer details.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Define the digital product strategy and own the creation and execution of the product roadmap, with a focus on driving conversion, AOV, LTV, and lead generation
  • Develop prioritization framework for digital product and prioritize on a yearly, quarterly, and monthly basis
  • Lead the implementation and optimization of key eCommerce initiatives eg: loyalty program, blog, etc
  • Work collaboratively with Engineering, Growth, and Design and other cross-functional stakeholders
  • Manage internal, contractor & agency partners to oversee Harper Wilde’s DTC website with a focus on driving brand equity & optimizing conversion rate
  • Work with internal marketing team to execute across DTC media plan, focusing on driving profitable customer acquisition
  • Own digital merchandising, including launching new SKUs, packs, and merchandise
  • Define appropriate KPIs and create dashboards to report accordingly to company stakeholders
  • Use web analytics, customer insights, industry trends and customer service feedback to inform future iterations of .com experience
  • Develop and execute SEO strategies to improve organic search results and traffic
  • Implement multivariate tests to drive site improvements and quantify impacts of site changes

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 6+ years of experience in high-growth consumer companies
  • 3+ years of experience in product management with a focus on e-commerce, taking cross-functional initiatives from conception to launch
  • Experience working with engineering teams and design teams and translating business requirements into design & development tasks
  • Experience with Shopify preferred
  • Strong exposure to web design and development, eCommerce systems integrations, SEO and UI/UX best practices
  • Scrappy, willing to roll up sleeves, and has an entrepreneurial mindset
  • Hyper-organized with an ability to strategically prioritize
  • Excellent communication skills including the ability to influence and articulate clear, measurable objectives after developing a detailed understanding of business goals
  • Analytical expertise (in excel & data visualization tools) is preferred (SQL not required)
  • Experience with multivariate testing and CRO best practices
