manager, front-line staff etc.Evaluating and identifying where Data and Reporting enhancements are required when similar metrics are not in alignment.Lead efforts to ensure and maintain corporate compliance with PII, CCPA and other relevant regulations.Maintain documentation of the flow of corporate data between systems and where that data is consumed by the Data Analytics team and our business partners.Maintain documentation of the flow of corporate data between systems and where that data is consumed by the Data Analytics team and our business partners.Contribute to the development of corporate data governance frameworks.Ensure compliance of corporate reporting with corporate data governance frameworks.Develop systems and processes for ensuring conformance with corporate data-related processes.Effectively communicate the functions, roles and responsibilities of the department to internal and external clients.Identify, create and facilitate process design changes by conducting business and systems process analysis and design at a complex level; focusing on quality improvement and data management; ensuring data is reliable and valid.Provide and support the implementation of business solutions by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders; identifying business needs; determining and carrying out necessary processes and practices; monitoring progress andresults; recognizing and capitalizing on improvement opportunities; and adapting to competing demands, organizational changes and new responsibilities.Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications that can be understood by in-house Development and Reporting teams.Identify improvement opportunities (proactive and reactive).Performs other duties as assigned.Complies with all policies and standards.Scope (Required)Staff supervision and development – Lead and mentor team of Business Data AnalystsDecision Making – To support Enterprise Business, Operation, and Analytic Functional AreaCreate/Manages Data Governance Policy – Managing/maintaining definition of metrics across the organization, overseeing Data Dictionary accuracy and completeness, Data Glossary completeness, Managing and maintaining Report CatalogData Management – Ensuring Data Sources across multiple servers/platforms are accurate and completeTravel – 5%Location— Remote CaliforniaRequirementsEducation (Required)Bachelor’s Degree Required-4-year degree in Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Computer Information Systems or related field.Skills (Required, Preferred /Desired)Uncompromising high standards and expectation for integrity, attention to detail, and 100% accuracy from yourself and your team.Extensive hands-on experience with all aspects of data management including data modeling, data mining, data warehouses, data lakes, ETL, and data visualization.Experience with Watson Knowledge Catalog preferredExperience with Data Governance, Data and Report Cataloging, Data Retention.Advanced knowledge of data analysis, profiling and modeling.Advanced knowledge of SQL required for query, profiling, coding and testing.Strong Business Requirements gathering and Analysis Skills.Experience documenting processes and data flows preferred.Excellent research, analytical, and communication skills.Strong project management, ability to successfully manage multiple tasks at any given point, strong relationship building skills & communication skills.Advanced degree not required, but preference may be given to candidates possessing MBA or other advanced degrees or training.Experience (Required)10+ years of progressive responsibility within a business analytics team.5+ years’ experience successfully leading a data analytics or Business Intelligence team.About Harbor Freight ToolsIn 1977, Harbor Freight Tools was started as a small family-owned business.
