Job Description:

We are looking for a Product Manager for our Product & Technology team, responsible for owning end-to-end delivery of our marketplaces advertising technology product.

This role has strong technical emphasis, and requires a heavy background with ecommerce, data analytics, measurement and optimization.

This is a high-impact role that requires strategic vision and big-picture thinking, as well as sharp execution, technical depth, analytical rigor, and excellent communication.

You use market research, competitive analysis, and direct communication with customers to make informed decisions.

The right candidate will possess a strong product background, be data driven and have demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams, ideally with a strong understanding of performance advertising, popular martech platforms, corporate analytics and strategic decision making tools. 

Responsibilities:

  • Drive product vision and strategy for enterprise retail advertising to continuously improve and increase adoption and expansion of the program.
  • Develop product roadmaps that inform our engineering teams of the problems that need to be solved.

    Partner closely with our engineering teams on the execution of product strategy and roadmaps.

  • Articulate our product strategy, rollout and migration plans informed by an evaluation of vendor solutions.
  • Define and standardize key performance indicators that will help aid in the decision-making process and showcase results.
  • Prioritization of product backlog to ensure the highest business value is being delivered.
  • Work directly with engineering teams to develop products using an Agile delivery methodology.
  • Independently author technical feature requirements in the form of user stories and acceptance criteria for varying business scenarios.
  • Build strong relationships internally and externally; present roadmaps, sophisticated ideas and features to broad teams in an effective manner.
  • Create strong partnerships with business stakeholders creating continuous feedback loops that allow us to better understand their problems.
  • Act as a mentor to other product managers.

Requirements:

  • 6+ years of experience in product management
  • Aptitude for applying structure to ambiguity and driving toward measurable outcomes and results.

    Confident with delivering technology products/services in a high growth environment where priorities shift fast.

  • Experience in one of the following (marketing, advertising, brand management, consumer insights for retail, consumer packaged goods)
  • Extensive experience working with engineering teams as a Product Owner to develop products using an Agile delivery methodology, specifically Scrum or Kanban.
  • Comfortable applying a combination of qualitative and quantitative methods to define success and problem solving without perfect metrics
  • Experience with at least one of the following product/project management tools (Jira, Aha, Confluence)

Nice-to-haves:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, math, science or other quantitative field.
  • Ability to understand business and technical tradeoffs and make decisions with incomplete information.
  • Working knowledge of machine learning or artificial intelligence concepts and theories.
  • Working knowledge of SQL and proficient in Excel.
  • Experience working with Amazon Advertising, retail operations, or related field.
  • Proficiency in marketing automation systems (Google DoubleClick/DV360, SA360, GA) and integrating those systems with other technologies a plus
  • Hold a current Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) certification
