Along with its family-friendly escapades and mindful meeting spaces, Viceroy at Ombria Resort will complement Algarve’s serene landscape with the experiential luxury and design innovation that has defined Viceroy around the globe.n n nn nnThe General Manager will act as the strategic business leader working closely with the Corporate Office and Hotel Executive committee to create the most outstanding resort experience.

This role will be responsible for the oversight of the overall operating performance, guest satisfaction, and financial results for the property.

In addition, the General Manager will build and maintain a strong relationship with the property ownership group and asset managers, through personal engagement and open and transparent communication.nn nn General Responsibilities Include: nn Provide leadership of the day-to-day operations of the resort including, Human Resources, Rooms, Engineering, Spa, Sales and Marketing, Revenue, Food and Beverage, Culinary, and Finance departments.

Develop the overall hotel strategy to maximize guest satisfaction, service standards, colleague satisfaction, and financial performance.

Promote efficient operating procedures to provide a flawless guest experience; actively engage with guests from arrival to departure.

Maintain a high level of service in all areas to both our internal and external guests.

Directly supervise, develop, maintain, and support individual performance and group dynamics of all Executive Committee members.

Resolve problems and communicate to ensure consistency and memorable guest service, and ensure strong, positive communication flow among colleagues.

Promote a positive work environment by ensuring the appropriate staffing levels are in place, the continuous training of colleagues, recognition, mentoring, and coaching.  Analyze daily revenues, sales strategy, labor reports, guest satisfaction reviews, and monthly expenses to ensure execution of business plan, profitability, and focus and attention of management team.

Manage hotel budget to control expenses and increase revenue.

Develop and maintain strong relationships/public relations with neighbors, vendors, and hospitality competitors.

Ensure property compliance with legal, safety, operations, labor, and Viceroy Hotel Group brand and service standards.

Actively participate in the hotel operation and responsible for communicating with corporate leaders on noteworthy issues in assigned areas of responsibility nn Qualification standards: nn Previous experience as a General Manager with luxury and/or lifestyle experience required Resort experience preferred Previous experience with preopening of a hotel/resort preferred Previous experience working with third party ownership groups Ability to clearly communicate with owners, guests, management and employees.

Proficient in communicating in Portuguese and English preferred Strong Sales and Marketing and Revenue Management experience strongly preferred with a focus on programming Strategic and planning skills High standards of integrity, professionalism and confidentiality Awareness of key hotels industry trends Strong knowledge of budgets, forecasting, Profit & Loss statements.
