nn nn nn nn JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: nn nn
• Directs and organizes the Gourmet Market’s retail operations and sister businesses to maximize profitability.nn nn
• Develops departmental goals and leads a team of managers.nn nn
• Works closely with each manager to understand operational needs and boost interdepartmental collaboration.nn nn
• Analyzes financial data and develops strategies around pricing, merchandising, and promotions.nn nn
• Assists with employee hiring, assignments, training, payroll, scheduling, evaluations, and terminations.nn nn
• Documents, investigates, and resolves employee and guest incidents.nn nn
• Models and directs employees to ensure customer service standards are met.nn nn
• Creates an environment where employees are informed and capable by directing training activities for all retail and culinary employees.nn nn
• Delegates tasks appropriately and holds teams accountable.nn nn
• Proactively monitors and manages store staffing levels according to retail and culinary fluctuations and seasonal business needs.nn nn
• Seeks opportunities to increase top-line sales.nn nn
• Challenges and inspires employees to achieve and execute sales-driving initiatives.nn nn
• Develops and monitors systems and procedures to increase staff performance and financial profitability.nn nn
• Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal regulations for food handling and sanitation standards.nn nn
• Conducts annual performance reviews of direct reports and sees that all employees have an annual review, plus training and coaching throughout the year.nn nn
