OVERVIEW:Amicon is seeking a Project Manager to oversee construction activities on assigned projects in our general contracting division.
This is an exciting position which will expose you to South Florida’s highest-level projects including all of the intricacies and stakeholders of the construction, real estate development and delivery process.RESPONSIBILITIES:Manage and direct day-to-day coordination of project deliverables including project status reporting;Hands-on approach and ownership of budget, schedule, plans and specifications;Delegate and oversee responsibilities to team members of assigned projects including but not limited to superintendents, subcontractors, vendors, assistant project managers, project engineers and project coordinators;Direct daily client communication in accordance with Amicon’s core values;Oversight and development of construction administration (managing RFI’s, Submittals, CO’s, etc.);Review and assess consulting scheduling and agreements (construction, design);Prepare and update the project schedule, manage by use of ProCore and/or Microsoft Project scheduling software.
Negotiate, create, and process subcontracts and purchase orders;Develop complete specialty contractor & material suppliers scope of work;Review of drawings for completeness and best practices;Responsible for purchase orders, budget adherence, and all project-related costs;Manage and analyze direct and indirect cost budget;Observe general compliance of as-built conditions with the contract drawings and specifications;Review construction schedules, trade payment breakdowns, job cost reports, and payment requisitions;Monitor and maintain project safety and quality standards.Maintain a high level of vendor contact and communication;Manage the project punch list and complete project closeout for the owner within 30 days from substantial completion;Ability to successfully manage multiple projects, as required;QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred;At least 7 years of experience in construction administration, architecture, engineering, construction management or similar experience;Must be willing, if necessary, to work extended hours, weekends, work well under pressure, meet deadlines, and pitch-in with duties normally performed by other positions if the work-load and/or deadlines so necessitate.Knowledge of the local permitting process and construction delivery methods and agreements;Familiarity with construction best practices, general building codes, and various building types;Passion for being detail oriented and highly organized in written and verbal communication;Proficiency in Microsofit Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook), MS Project, and Procore.AMICON OVERVIEWAt Amicon, we are passionate about providing high level client representation and project management services which reduce inefficiencies that lead to cost overruns and delays.
