Job Description:
To support the recruitment and enrollment efforts related to traditional undergraduate students and adult nursing students by ensuring that the daily administrative functions of the Chalon and Doheny Admissions Offices run efficiently.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Serve as the initial point of contact for visitors to the Chalon Admissions Office and all calls coming into the main phone lines.
- Support Admission Office recruitment and enrollment efforts by: managing the main admission and nursing admission email inboxes, managing confirmation calls, contacting inquiries, ad maintaining Chalon Admission Welcome Center for visitors’ needs.
- Support the Associate Director for Nursing and Transfer Admissions by scheduling information sessions, assisting with Live Chat coverage and preparing supplemental documents for application processing.
- Process departmental invoices for payment
- Hire and supervise Admission Office student workers on the Chalon campus in cooperation with the student work supervisor on the Doheny campus.
- Manage office supply purchases for admissions offices on both campuses.
- Manage supply of admissions publications on both campuses.
- Manage admissions office ride-share account, including reservations and payments.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Actively participate in staff and other planning meetings and take minutes.
- Perform other duties, as assigned.
- Some weekend or evening work may be required with advance notice.
Requirements:
Knowledge:
- Strong working knowledge of the function, and general office policies and procedures. Solid knowledge of admissions cycle.
- Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Suite programs, especially Outlook, Word and Excel Familiarity with Colleague Database System and Slate desired.
Abilities and Skills:
- Effectively organize, prioritize and handle multiple tasks to meet established deadlines. Provide accurate and efficient supervision of student workers.
- Communicate effectively with people from a wide variety of backgrounds and skill levels. Flexible.
- Willingness and ability to travel between campuses on occasion.
- Strong organization and prioritization, basic bookkeeping/accounting, supervision, customer service, oral/written communication, interpersonal skills.
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent. Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Experience:
- Previous experience working in an educational environment. Experience involving hiring and supervising preferred.
