Job Summary
Ensures the preparation and maintenance of food services records such as production reports and inventory reports. Assigns duties and supervises other staff members as needed. Work with Food Services Manager for purchasing and ordering of food items. Follows standards for efficient and sanitary practices in food preparation and food service. Leads the inspection of food served for quality and plans for proper storage and use of food and supplies Assists in the development of new menu ideas based off trends that are seen at the school site Assure that food preparation adheres to the methods provided in the menu and production records Ensure proper food safety is followed and sanitation methods are used Operates a variety of food service equipment and machines used in the cafeteria for food preparation and meal collection, such as ovens, stove tops, steamers, meat slicers, food processors. Assists with food preparations as needed Perform related duties as assigned
